obviously if we go up as champions it will be special, but how many people, right now, are not bothered as long as we go up?
will drawing against leicester but still going up leave you feeling deflated at all?
or will you still run onto the pitch like a mad man as elated as you would have been if we were champions?

run on the pitch elated of course! don't care how we go up as long as we do it, hopefully without the agony of the playoffs!

If we only need a draw at home to Leicester to get first or second I would take that now. At the beginning of the season i was worrying about the run in for different reasons with the massive capture of Jon Parkin the major signing

Champions would be amazing - imagine lifting that trophy on the last day of the season.
I will settle for second though if I have to.

2nd is fine by me. If we were to lose to Leicester and still finish in the top 2 to go up automatically, I would still cry like a baby and feel absloute elation

Don't care at all. First or second would do me equally. The prize is basically the same. I get the same feeling as Lurcherman though, for some reason we've decided to change the formula that was getting us results, and now we are dropping too many points.
Playoffs at the start of the season would have been acceptable, now it would feel like a failure.

I still remember Meadow Lane in '79 as one of the worst days of my life, weeping in the stand as thousands of fellow Stoke Fans bought shame on the city by celebrating what was a ignominious chapter in Stoke's grand history, when the scraped up in third place in apologetic style. A memory that I tried to erase over the years only to be harshly reminded of how shallow the Stoke following is when they again celebrated a shamefull promotion at the Millenium stadium when they didn't even manage automatic promotion! (However at least the club shared my shame and made sure that the manager paid the price for exposing the club to the inevitable ridicule resulting from this debacle) Most right thinking people (like myself) only consider a promotion as deserved if gained as champions, I only wish the club had done the decent thing, and declined the promotions gained by such underhand methods!! Sadly in the modern world I am more and more often left in a lonley minority of 1

who cares as long as we make the promise land Exactly, Champions would be nice, but would definately settle for second place, we've worked our bollocks off this season, we deserve it surely.
