It's in our own hands now then, I'm pleasantly surprised about that! Certainly didn't expect that on opening day, so well done TP and the lads. I just hope the character of our manager and players keeps the nerve ??? So it appears the premiership is calling ;D We want to stay solvent, yet competitive (in the words of our leader) So which route will that take us? Cheap & experienced senior players (no doubt on high wages and short contracts) or Hands in pockets for younger players (cheaper wages and resale chances for if/when we go back down and don't immediately bounce back). We certainly can't expect the majority of our present squad to achieve anything up there at the moment, I'm already waking up with cold sweats anticipating Ronaldo, Torres, Fabregas and the like tearing us for 6 & 7!

It is in our own hands, but I will eat my own ring piece if we don't have to rely on favours between now and May.
If we do make the Premiership, I'd like to see us spend as little as possible on players/wages. We can re-build the season after, a bit like Bolton have done in the past.

I fear that if we spend little, we'd face a comparative amount of embarrassment as Derby. It wouldn't be squeaky bum time, more like slack ass time!
