Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Griff had a stinker today? His distribution was appalling and he just doesn't gee the lads up and get things motoring. He's far too quiet to be captain but then again, who else would make a captain in the current team? Liam Lawrence maybe? We need a Leader. For me, we had three really poor performers today (Griff, Cresswell and Gallagher), coupled with several mediocre performances and absolutely no one who looked a match winner. I just couldn't see where a second goal could come from (in honesty without the gift, I couldn't see us scoring at all). I still hope and pray we can win promotion but based on last four performances, without an injection of pure quality, it's going to be really tough.

Griffs got the armband because of the experience he has being one of the more mature in the team. We dont need a young player who is going to go nuts at refs, someone like griff who will calm down a player does me fine.

Unfortunately experience and maturity doesn't deliver motivation in this instance.

thats bollox. yes he is quite experienced but a captain doesn't mess about with the ball in and around his own penalty area putting his team under pressure.

I think Griffin was the obvious choice at the time. My other choice was Fuller, which would be really hit & miss, but I think may of been a good appointment..

I mean, wouldn't you love a captain that can't be arsed moving about unless the ball is at his feet, has temperamental problems on the field with other players and generally sulks at every opportunity?

Griff was cack, but let's face it we haven't exactly been strong on captains.
Clarke anyone....?
Duberry...?
Best captain we have had in years was Eustace. Not surpised Watford made him captain so quickly. Very surprised we let him go...
Genuinely don't konw who to pick now, but Griff is just not it.
