by how some people on here are going on (when we are top), what will happen if we spanked first game of the season by Liverpool 5-0, there will be people calling for Pulis out etc etc

I wouldn't worry about next season mate.
There is still plenty of worrying to be done about this season without worrying about next season already.

What worries me more is the response if we don't go up.
If you look at the teams that have gone up recently, most (not all before someone points out the exceptions) have established themselves first of all as regular play-off teams before finally reaching the Prem.
Even if we don't get promoted automatically or via the play-offs I worry that the disappointment will manifest itself against the players and Pulis next season and we end up doing a Preston.

Like I say...Keep worrying about THIS season, and leave worrying about next season until either the 5th May or the 29th May.

If we go up it would be time to enjoy, not to worry.

If we drop into the play-offs Tache, I don't reckon we would make the trip to Wembley, so we could worry about next season around mid May rather than the 29th May.
