Well another disappointing display but given other results it was vital we got that equalizer. Quite clearly any team will miss their two best attacking options and we were no different with Ric and Liam absent. My first glance at the team worried me when I again saw Mama up front (who had been nursing an injury to boot) and Bothroyd on the bench. To my mind with the team losing our two best chances of a goal we needed to compensate and for me Bothroyd and Cress should have started (better yet we would have signed a replacement in time). So to the game itself and you have to say that regardless of the team selection those who had been picked mostly had very bad days and played with very little composure or tempo. Cort for me (despite another goal) was again, a liability at the back, our midfield was devoid of any ideas and the front pair (albeit with very little service) were ineffectual. The biggest problem I had today was that we never really went for it in the last 20 minutes, I realise that Blackpool (to their credit) were a threat on the break but we never really threw the kitchen sink at them to claim a win that should have been achievable. Well the ride continues and we now could really do with winning at the Wendy's to keep us up there. I feel the pressure has got to us since that night against Scunthorpe and we haven't really coped that well with being up there at the top (although the teams below us have struggled Hull apart). It's certainly not the end of the world but I came away as disappointed as I have for a good while. We can still do it but the players need to show some belief and just go for it. He who dares Rodney.....

think Pulis as gone back to type. What i mean is that we start with a point and its up too the other team to take it off us. We(pulis) as the mindset that we started with a point so we will keep that point rather than go for it and run the risk of losing all 3

Same here Jamo. Don't know exactly why my heart sank today in a way it hasn't for months, but it really did. We just didn't seem to know how to even want to win it and I felt us slipping into that twilight zone where we get neither the benefit of the TP system nor good players given their heads.

Agree with your thoughts Jamo. Last weekend we made ground and I was chuffed, this week we make ground, and I feel deflated!!

After Diao went off (in the 6th minute?) I was amazed that TP did not put delap in the centre (his best position imo), gallagher on the right and pugh on the left. We never looked like creating a goal - gallagher had a fully depressing game as I expected so much more of him - he put one good cross in Sidibe had one good knock on and cresswell was never at the races. Any team though cannot cope with losing 4 first teamers (Fuller, Lawrence, Shawcross, Cort) and one player that is capable of being a first teamer (Diao). We didn't and we looked distinctly average. Nash - 6 - Thought he could have come for the ball before we conceded - distribution poor. Griffin - 7 - Ok Riggotts - 7 - Ok Pugh - 7 - Did well especially considering he was moved around the pitch Gallagher - 5 - Poor - wasted the ball Diao - 6 - Great effort on goal but then picked up an injury Whelan - 8 - Best game for us defensively but nothing creative - MOM nonetheless Delap - 7 - Never had much chance to get in the game out wide Cresswell - 6 - Poor but kept plugging away Sidibe - 6 - Poor Wilko - 6 - Not suited to left back at all Bothroyd - 7 - showed some good touches but should have been brought on earlier Zakuani - 7 - did ok Lucky to have got anything today imo and to stay top is amazing! Need to win at Sheff Weds next week otherwise our luck WILL run out.

So depressing to loose points against teams like Blackpool at home. It should be attack from the beginning to get a couple of goals, then the game would have been won.

2 points lost for me today. The most annoying thing was that we never put Blackpol under any sustained pressure. We were fortunate to get the equaliser when we did and then we didnt go on from there. Why did Griffin continue at RB, when he is clearly a better LB and Wilko is a better RB? Didnt make sense at all. The most disappointing for me was Cresswell. He was total gash today. Whenever he got the ball, he did one of two things:, either lose it or fall over. We lacked energy, drive and urgency today and it is a worrying sign for the run in. Most annoying is that yet again, results have gone for us and we have failed to capitalise. We should have been 5 points clear of 3rd and yet we stay 3 points clear. I have praised the team for poor peformances when we get results. Today, we got neither. Still, we are more than capable of getting 3 points at Hillsborough.

jamo, we haven't looked good for a while and we played today how we have done for the last few games with Fuller & lawrence, poorly Sidibe played a lot better than he has done for a while, our whole midfield was poor, i liked the look of Bothroyd when he came on seemed to offer more than Cresswell. Agree with the comment about delap going to centre, he was slow and one paced and was often wanting to get back. i would have taken Delap off and kept Wilkinson on when Bothroyd came on. But where was dickinson on the bench? You should always need a 2nd left footer in the named squad
