We play shit football BUT we're top of the league. Isn't that enough for you lot?
What do you want, the media to start making out that we're entertaining?
Get real and be honest for once in your lives.

Who plays good football then Hudson? WBA and Charlton weren't exactly stringing 20 passes together earlier, and both goals were from set pieces, yet the commentators stuck to their script that they play the beautiful game. This is what should be objected to, the rank hypocrisy and double standards of the media.

There's no hypocrisy here. Every other team I've seen this season at least sets its stall out to try and play football. Pulis doesn't. He sets out to kill the game I know and love with primitive percentage play. You know it, I know it and the media knows it. But it's been SUCCESSFUL. So why not just be content with that instead of lying to yourself that the football's just great and the media's only spouting these things because there's some great Macchiavellian conspiracy afoot? There isn't.
We ARE the new Wimbledon. You can be proud of that if you like. But it makes me ashamed.

EVERY other team? Are Watford any different to us?
It's shades of grey Hudson, the football hasn't been great, but it hasn't been exclusively long-ball either - games such as Preston at home and Ipswich at home saw us keep it on the deck a fair bit as well as playing it long.

But... why are we turning into Tweedledum and Tweedledee again like this? Come on get it in perspective - no sane person, or even Stokie, is going to say we've played fantastic football or frankly even played well since the Wolves game because we haven't. But, look at the balance over the season and we're nothing like as bad as we're being painted. If we have to be the new anything then Bolton is a much more realistic model than Wimbledon (look at how well Bryan Robson's been doing since he coined that one, doesn't that tell you something?)

Watford are the exception, I agree. The home game was the single worst game of football I've seen for years.
And I'm sorry Sal but, if we do go up, I'll have very mixed feelings indeed.
As for Bolton, I recall plenty of flair in midfield with Okocha and even Diouf.

And we don't have flair (at times, I'm not claiming always) with Lawrence and Whelan?

Sal, I've said it many times: we HAVE the players but Pulis simply won't deploy them properly. My excitement at the signings of Gally and Whelan soon dissipated watching Gally on the bench and Whelan in a neck brace. Bloody tragic.

And when exactly do you think JJ and Diouf were signed kinnell?
Option 1 While they were attempting to get to the Prem. or Option 2 Once they'd established themselves in the Prem and had pots of cash. Answers on a postcard to:

Ok... couldn't resist laughing out loud at Whelan in a neck brace ;D And you know very well I'm not saying you're 100% wrong, but as I'm also always saying, free-flowing midfields DO happen in a Pulis team - they're the icing on the cake though and we're not in icing mode now. Being an optimist I want to believe we'll get to see something a bit special again once Liam's back and Ricci's cooled his heels for long enough.

'Free flowing midfields'.....hm.......sorry, kid..... presumably you mean the Golden Age of Carl Asaba and GNW ?!?!
The thing is, I go to every game hoping for us to string more than two passes together. And what do we get? Diao back to Pugh.....then boof!
Honestly, 'free flowing midfields' is pie in the sky. I just want to see a little bit of intelligent controlled football.
Sure as hell, what we're playing now ain't going to bring the neutrals back (and the proof of that is in our pisspoor attendances).
