I remember he lifted up a ball boy after that goal against Chesterfield.
Ironically, I saw him score in a friendly for Oxford in a 5-1 match. However, that was a defeat to Chelsea.
We've had some crackers over the years. Tosh McKinlay- he had a great career at Stoke.

Anyone remember the goal from David Oldfield against Notts County(?) at home where he ran pretty much the whole length of the pitch upto the boothen and struck it into the top corner for the winner? I've probably imagined this but I swear it happened ;D

Kamara was not cool, and nor is he now, an idiot, yes, managerially inept, yes, cool, no. He first sold Andy Griffin, then played shit players in the wrong positions, we won only one game with him at the helm before he fooked off, unbelievable!

Cool. would of loved to see that. howd the do? We don't like to talk about it Did he takeover in 97/98 season? And have quite a dreary half season? And then followed by Brian Little the next season? That is the extent of my knowledge of that era. The era where Steve Taffe was considered a hot prospect.

Kamara really was clueless, and I mean clueless. Premiership in 2 years my fucking arse. It took him about 12 games to get his first win (against QPR I think it was, correct me if I'm wrong, I was only 7 at the time)

Ian Scott the midfielder I think we got from Man City in the mid/late 80's and Colin Russell from the early 80's Colin Russell was a Bill Asprey "loan" from Huddersfield as part of our "Hudson 2nd spell" miraculous escape from relegation in the 1983/4 season ( dead and buried at Xmas, took Huddy on loan in January and survived ) No-one had ever heard of him, but he arrived, scored a crucial goal in the utterly unexpected and crucial 2-0 win over Liverpool at the Vic, and played 3 other games before mysteriously disappearing straight back to Yorkshire where he did nothing of note afterwards
