just been down the ground to get tickets for the game, only to be told their is no guest list for the game, apparantly coventry have been experiencing quite a lot of trouble lately so stoke city have taken it upon themselves to ban the guest list. more great work stoke city! driving more fans away! i have a id card so i aint that bothered but their are still many that aint got one and wont get one ( which i fully understand ) we should want get that away end at the ricoh full to the rafters of fans roaring us on but instead we dont want our fans their. fucking pathetic stoke city again!!!!!!!!!! as for the bloke in that ticket office i have never met such a of miserable old bastard in my life, who obviously couldnt care less about stoke city.

It's only becasue Coventry have been having some trouble as you've said in your post. I don't think it's a case of the club 'driving fans away'. Still think we'll get a good following there though

Surely anyone opposed to the ID card (which I can understand) will be equally opposed to the guest list? In which case anyone THAT bothered about seeing Stoke play away would have either got one by now?
If Cov are only going to give us limited tickets (I don't know how many we're likely to get) then surely the people that have commited themselves to watching Stoke whether it be a good bad or indifferent season deserve first dibs on them!
I would only ever allow guest lists for obviously poorly supported games and times when memners have had sufficient time to buy their tickets

Is it about time the police actually started doing there job for a change and stop the trouble? Or take the easy option of banning every supporter going and then they do fuck all as usual for the rest of the day!!!
Sick of these ID cards and fuckin guest lists its all a nonsense.

Heard from a mate from work that it kicked off against Leicester a few weeks back, and it was all over the papers that Millwall kicked off there in the FA Cup again only a few weeks ago.

Coventry have had main problems with Leicester for many a year, and much of it nowhere near or nothing to do with the Ricoh Arena. I have watched Stoke there before with no probs in with the home fans, although with us pushing for promotion this season the stewards/police might not be so cheerful

Can anyone tell me how far the ground is from the train station please. Coventry train station is about three and half miles away from the stadium and really is too far to walk. There is a shuttle bus that operates from the bus station to the Tesco/Arena stadium complex. It departs every 10 minutes and costs £3 return (for adults), otherwise jump in a taxi. www.footballgroundguide.co.uk/

Last time we went, we got a free bus to Coventry city centre. The crazy Polish bus driver just ushered us on and drove at 50 mph ;D

If your on about the fat bloke in the ticket office? He is the most obnoxious unhelpful arrogant person ive ever met, cant believe stoke employ him! thats the one, it takes him all his time peer over his glasses, hes like an old history teacher! about as helpful as a chocolate cock in front of a fire! i personally think it will knock the stoke following, this stage in the season we need all the support we can get, obviously i understand no guest list for colchester but what i can recall coventry give you around 4 thousand, their should be a guest list and we should be allowed get our fans right behind the team. as i said this is a stoke city idea not coventrys! weve put the block on it. and you may wonder why fans aint coming back in droves!! piss the id card off and let the team have the support they deserve

as trebor said, if they don't want to get an ID card don't give em guest tickets. Guest tickets should be for fans living far away whoc get over once a season or something like that.
