After much debate, discussion and arguments we now enter the final stretch in the most important time in the last 30+ years of Stoke Citys history, we will never ever have a better chance of getting aboard the premiership big bucks and whether you are a Pulis Hater (Like me) or a Pulis Rimmer (mcf) you have to give the guy credit for getting us so close! To lose out now would be heartbreaking for us fans, there will be plenty of fans out there to rip the piss out of us IF we fail so we need to ensure that we all stand together and support the lads for the last 7 games! Promotion this year could really put SCFC onto the map and secure a good future for generations to come if PC has his head screwed on!

Have to disagree. When you say "we will never ever have a better chance..." Yes, we will. Next time we are promoted. Also, 7 biggest games in our history? I don't know. What about the seven games leading into promotion to Division One with Sir Stan? We can't really say what the future will hold. It may be that we are promoted, spend several years consolidating and then become a regular fixture in the top half of the prem, or it could be that we do a Leeds/Wolves and have successive relegations to league 1. If that were to happen, would the next 7 games still be the biggest in our history? I prefer to look at it one game at a time. Let's thump Blackpool and then worry about who we play next. ;D

Take each game as it comes. I must admit, Ive never been more nervous as to when it comes to match day. Me missus cannot understand me at the moment. We must concentrate on each upcoming game, starting with Blackpool. this has to be 3 points. GOARNNNN STOKE!!

There is certainly more money at stake at the end of these seven games than there has ever been during previous promotion runs. £50 million plus (for 1 year's TV fees and 2 years parachute payments) is rather more than we got in 1963 or any promotion since! They say it every year but it is true nonetheless - the final games of the season for the top teams and the playoff final have more money riding on them for the winners than any other football games in the world and you'd be hard pressed to find any sporting event of any kind which is worth so much to the winners. A rather spooky thought, isn't it?

I think these last few games certainly are the most important in our history, purely because of the financial rewards at stake.
If we fail this season then there will be much more pressure on us to go up next season, when we will surely be installed as one of the favourites for promotion.
Not much was expected of us this season and we've surprised most people, ourselves included. I'm not so sure that our club could handle the pressure of being one of the favourites in this division from day one, so it's vital we get our act together and finish the job this season imo.

I'm tempted to agree, the Premiership is even splitting into fractions, if we leave it too long, the big 4 will have fecked off into some sort of European league, interest in the Prem will wane and all of the money will follow the Euro-league. We need to get our noses in the trough now, before the whole bloody house of cards falls down!!

Financially speaking, these are the most important 7 games in Stokes history. There is no comparison to 1963. Its all about money. Full-stop. 50 MILLION rides on these 7 games. Thats a lorra lorra dosh.
