It looks like Dicko will not be coming back to Barnsley which i am upset about We are very very close to signing Jay McEverley from Derby who is a LB and we also have Luke Potter at the club who is also a LB so a deal for Dicko looks dead in the water Best wishes Dicko wherever you end up, You wa always my fav LB at the club since Darren Barnard

Great post mate, the lad from derby will do well for you i reckon. Dickinson seems a great lad and i will never ever forget his face in the melee that followed our promotion to the top flight. Good luck for next season.

1st spell - Prem Class 2nd spell - Not as good as 1st spell but still a good player, would love us to get him back Permanently or another Loan
A Back 4 of Hassell-Shotton-Shackell-McEverley will do me

McEverley is a good player. Stoke were minutes away from signing him a few years ago when we got Paul Gallagher.

I think McEveley is fairly regular for them. Pretty sure he had an injury early last season though.

He hasn't really had a chance yet. He's better than Collins but not as good as Higgy... yet.
I always thought he was better than Wilko in the promotion season and he's turned out alright; I'd love to see him feature at some point next campaign on the left alongside Huth, Shawsy and Wilko.

To be honest I would like to see Stoke give him a go next season , some may say he isnt good enough but I'm sure his year at Barnsley will have done him good and he deserves a chance. Andy Wilkinson has got better and better with games and we don't have a proper left back so hope Dicko gets a chance to show the manager if he can step up

Dicko lacks pace. Unfortunately, he is not prem class.

Just cus he's local take the fuckin blinkers off,for Premier Lge he is no good, dead wood....the lad will do well in championship but i honestly think Lge 1 is his level for a top class game. Sorry for the bad language early, but come on folks Dicko aint no good at this level end of.....better than Collins, Jeez I wish you well Dicko, but if you get anywhere near 1st team at Stoke this year i will cut my cock off !!! ;D

No doubt you were one the "lets get Habib Baye in because Wilko is a retard" crowd? Give Dicko a run and he'll prove he's just as good as Wilko

He isn't good enough. Looked shocking against Newcastle Town in a preseason friendly (07/08 i think) and I've seen little to suggest he deserves a place even on the bench at this level.
He'll be remembered for that photo on promotion day. Leave it at that and a decent Championship showing rather than letting him embarrass himself in the top flight.

It looks like he's another that there's absolutely no chance of getting into the 25-man squad for next season.
It'll be interesting to see if he's loaned for the season or sold

Not a prem player. Arguably not a Championship one. Never though he was a patch on Wilko even in the Championship days.

21/22?
Potential to be better than Wilko, I'd sell Collins, continue with Higgy for the start of the season then blood Dicko towards the end. Leeds and Barnsley fans love him, he was fantastic during the promotion season, outshone Wilko.
Deserves a chance at the very least.

"Arguably not a Championship one"
Tell the Barnsley fans that, we went up with him playing a key role.
A lot seem to have it in for players who wear their heart on their sleeve, Wilko proved me right a year ago.

Sorry but I disagree...........He would walk into any Championship side easily. Id love him back here, infact ad give him a backy up here but i cant see it happening now You have your opinions which i respect, but to say hes not Championship standard is wrong IMHO He came close 2nd in our Player of year award,

I don't have anything against him for having his heart on his sleeve - I just don't think he's good enough. He was in decent form when we went up but at other times looked incredibly nervous and has a tendency to clatter people. His distribution is beyond shocking as well. A lot of people overrate him because he's an academy product and because he was leading the celebrations when we went up. Good luck to the lad, but he's not up to it at this level.

While he was at Leeds he got rave reviews and I there fans really wanted him back, mate of mine is a massive Leeds fan and said they loved him there. I could see him going back there on loan next season. Unfortunately I don't think he will ever cut it in the Prem and I would also have to say that I think we should be looking to replace Wilko in the team aswel as he is a weak link at RB IMO and we need a better player

The rave reviews obviously weren't enough for them to extend his loan spell or have him back for another one.

He proved he was a good Championship player for us and Barnsley.
And I think he's better than Collins but we do need better than the pair of them and Higgi.

I would happily have Dicko as our back-up LB to Higgy.

I like Dicko he has spirit and passion, but sadly I think his distribution skills are not up to scratch and his fiery temperament would be too costly in the prem. I know we have played well with 10 men before but it isnt something i would relish.
