without being outstanding I thought Salif was much better on Saturday, one glaring misplaced pass aside his passing was fine & he won some tackles.
A good subsitute during the run in,imho.

don't know what is wrong with him? He still uses the excuse of not being fit but i think he's played enough games and should be fit enough.

it will take time but he was definitely better and hopefully he'll keep improving and become the player he was last season again

Think it through guys, it's took 6 months to see Delap playing something resembling a footballer, now it's paying dividends. Salif is top class when fully tuned, and that may not be until next season. Got to agree though with alot thats already been said about him, we can ill afford to carry anybody right now. He will do us proud in the next season.

shouldn't take Diao anywhere near as long as Delap as his injury wasn't as horrific and he doesn't have the psychological barrier to get through like Delap must have done. Could be a very useful player if he starts shining in the run in

I think it will take longer than some think for Diao to be fully fit (mentally and physically) and we'll see the best of him after he has had a full pre season training with the club. Until then we are probably best using him as a sub coming on late in the game against tired legs when his ability to "steady the ship" should be a help. At the moment he does look better coming on as a late sub - he looked ok in his first match back when he came on late against Newcastle and by all accounts, he looked better yesterday than when he has started games. That is how he should be used.

HE doesn't seem to be half the player he was last season. this season i've seen him mainly not make many good tackles and give easy passes away. against burnley and norwich i saw him give away three or four five yard passes away each game, putting us under pressure when we could have gone on the attack. i was glad to see him replaced against norwich but it sounds like he did ok when he came on against watford
