As I said I reckon Joe would be quality for us. I've said before, he's desperate to play in the Prem. If we give him that chance, he would repay us tenfold imo. Better than Whelan as a creative midfielder I reckon but at the very least wouldn't be a bad, young squad player!

I don't rate him at all I have to say. But you must have something if you're being linked with Roma. I'd be OK with the signing I suppose, we'll just have to wait and see if he comes good or not.

Yeah and we really pissed into the wind allowing him to sign for one of our competitors for such a reasonable price. I'm sure that lack of decision making will come back to bite us on the ass  |

Obviously some dont like Ledley with a passion.
I personally think he could prove a lot of doubters wrong. Im sorry but he's better than Tonge, Soares and Pugh and would be an improvement to our squad.
I say give him a go. If TP likes him then I trust his judgement.

Yes he is an International but so is Ledley, captain of his country. Yet Arismendi cost us £3mill plus.....despite the fact that we didn't really know much about him and I dont think Pulis did either. There is no chance on God's earth that a fee will be agreed for no more than £750k for Ledley who papers describe as one of the best players outside the top league. |

I know your hatred of Ledley is now as wierd and stalkerish as WD's love of Collins bayern but what I see is a very promising and still very young player who had a mixed season last year. A bit of a punt perhaps but a realtively inexpensive one, well worth taking. |

He's had a piss poor 2 years Momo. Danny Pugh is better for Christs sake. And I know we won't sign him for 750k more like £3million. We always pay over the odds for mediocre/shite-Whitehead, Collins, Arismendi etc. When he signs I wish him all the best and hope he proves me wrong and that these last 2 years have been down to a move playing on his mind. Because he has made Whitehead look like a dynamic midfielder. He's not even the best central midfielder at Cardiff.

I don't like Ledey at all but theres got be a reason why several good managers are fans i.e Moyes, Pulis, Ranieri & Neil Lennon ( ;D I joke he's crap). I'll trust TP's judgment but if he turns into another Tom Soares it wouldn't surprise me.

Pulis has obviously seen something in him that's really tickled his fancy.
But, like others, I'm damned if I know what it is from my admittedly very limited viewing of him.
He burst onto the scene as the next big thing. I don't know if he was ever all that, but he seems to have had 2 relatively quiet seasons after our barmy £6m bid.
What type of midfielder has he become? Is he remotely box-to-box or is he a sitter who keepts it tidy and likes a tackle?
