Its hard to say if we are going to miss Fuller when hes suspended cos he aint been brilliant recently. We did against Hull! Wot do you think ?

I think the forced break will do him good. The team will cope dunna worry and he'll come back like a coiled spring ;D ;D

I think a 2 match suspension/rest will do him and the team good! he'll be fighting fit for last 5 games. And we have cover in gally/cressy/bothroyd/parkin. + a.n other new signing.

I honestly think it is a blessing in disguise that Fuller is banned. Hopefully he can have a break, get motivated and fire us to the prem!!!

Post by kingdeano on Mar 15, 2008 19:02:11 GMT
blessing in disguise definatly not! fuller is quailty, i feel the last few weeks he as been closely watched and hit hard at every chance, i think the problem with fuller is he aint got a strike partner taking the heat off him, if misibe was contributing to 10-15 goals or even looking dangerous then fuller would get a bit of breathing space, but we all know misibe doesnt need marking so it leaves fuller getting very frustrated.

Well, at the moment, Riccardo isn't scoring many goals is he,so we might not miss him too much. Besides, a rest might do him good, and reveal some other talent we have. Bothroyd now has his chance. Perhaps Gally will fit in somewhere as well, he seemd to have decent game today after he came on.

I agree, this was bound to come and it worries me less than I thought it would. If we could just get a Nugent-quality loan player in... then Ricci comes bounding back for the final run-in...

i find it amazing, fuller gets suspended and people say it might be a blessing, misibe is injured for one game and its the end of stoke city! fuller = 15 goals! misibe = 2! who would you miss more?

just back home
Fuller today just wasnt interested....but bothroyd looked like he could be class, it was obvious that he'd never played with any of the rest of the team though
great support for the team today though
and it was very weird while we were singing anti styles songs when he just sent eustace off (watford end was clapping us while we sang it). Very funny singing SJE and eustace is a stokie while he walked

You're right on paper deano, but when Ricci's not on song he is so not on song that imho he's not a great loss till he gets on another run.

Post by kingdeano on Mar 15, 2008 19:17:00 GMT
mermaid he may not be on song but hes a threat, defenders hate the thought someone with pace and trickery is running at them, even off song he has two men on him all the time which creates space for others to benefit. i think its a huge loss. just hope we get 2 good results without him.

I THINK IT WAS PRE PLANNED . CONVEINETLY MISS THE NORWICH GAME (INCASE HE GOT A YELLOW) SO HE WOULDNT BE BANNED FOR THE WATFORD GAME AWAY - WHEN WE NEED HIM . THEN GET A YELLOW TODAY , TO GET HIS BAN FOR THE BLACKPOOL GAME AT HOME - WHERE WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO COPE WITHOUT HIM . PULIS - PURE GENIUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we will mis him. He lifted the crowd and motivated the team when he came on against Norwich.

Sidibe and Bothroyd will do us ok for 2 games. Fuller will come back and resume his partnership with Sidibe hopefully a lot more refreshed. Remember last season after his stupid suspensions? He came back with an extra yard of pace over everyone else, including the opposition. In an ideal world, he'll recharge his batteries and sort his head out.

deano i was dreading fuller being banned but today he kept losing the ball even when he had options to lay it off. at one stage we were having to shout at him cos the ball came back close to where hed just lost it and he was still arguing with the liner

Agree with Deano.
We will miss Ricardo like Liverpool would miss Torres because there partners ie Kuyt at Liv and Joke-bie here do contribute enough in either goals or creation.
It will give him a chance to recharge his batteries and fire us to the premiership when he returns.
Fuller or Misibe....No brainer

Of course we will miss Fuller. He is one of our best players, despite the fact that he seems to be sulking and isn't at his best at the moment.
One thing though, when he returns, I hope he returns with his orange stripe diadora boots, because since he has ditched them (first for the green stripe, then for those white monstrosities), he has been a shadow of his usual self! ;D
