Palace striker Kuqi looks set to return to Ipswich Ipswich Town are set to re-sign striker Shefki Kuqi on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season, BBC Radio Suffolk understands. Kuqi, 31, was recently suspended for a fortnight and fined two weeks wages by Eagles boss Neil Warnock for making an obscene gesture to supporters.
The Finland international has been told he has no future at Selhurst Park.
Kuqi scored 28 goals in 77 appearances during his first spell in Suffolk before joining Blackburn in 2005.
He left Ewood Park after only one season when Palace paid £2.5m to take him to Selhurst Park.
Ipswich have moved quickly to strengthen their squad following the news that leading goalscorer Jon Walters will need surgery after suffering a cartilage tear in his left knee - an injury that could rule him out for the rest of the season.

To be fair, their fans thought he was far from shit in his last spell at Ipswich.
He was like a raging bull at times and seemed to score some crackers.
Didn't he score 20 goals in one of his seasons there, prompting Taylor to lash out £2.5m on him?
But it looks like he has been a bit shit/fat since.

If he does turn out to be any good, it can only help us as he'll be scoring against our opponents. Won't bother us as we've played them for this season.

So, they go from chasing Nugent to signing Kuqi? Odd.

If dropped he can join other migrant workers picking sprouts. Good move.
