First ever post after lurking for an age but I'm so angry! Yes we were dire today and didn't leave the dressing room after half time but.... Kalou MOTM?! Compare and contrast with the reaction to Shawcross' innocent tackle on Ramsey. And then for the Sky Sports team to say Tommy's injury doesn't matter in the great scheme of things unless you support Stoke. Yeah I'm sure the Danish national team are overjoyed.
Rant over and back in my box to lurk some more!

Good post Nell! You should contribute more often. As for Kalou as you say comparable to Ryan and Ramsey. He puts our keeper out of the world cup and the ref gives a goal He threw himself to the ground and the ref gave him a penalty.
In the end he walks off with the match ball!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!

I hate to say it, but it's the reaction of Stoke's players that's the difference. If we'd all run at the ref, weeping and begging for a red card, the ref either would have given him one, or he'd have been sufficiently influenced to change the game with another decision. As it was, there was barely a murmur and, as a result, the pundits and TV in general didn't comment on it.
Nice guys finish last and, to coin a phrase from Mr Brown...we need to 'get real'. Being good sports doesn't win any points. We didn't deserve anything out of today's game and we got rightfully spanked for an inept performance but hassling the ref for a red card for Kalou and appealing more strongly against the penalty might just have changed the game.
No-one's giving us any credit for losing like men and we most certainly aren't getting any other kind of credit for it. Wise up, Stoke.

Not even asked about the tackle on Sky and then given MoM.
His challenge was 10 times worse than Ryan's on Ramsay.
Tommy is now out of the World Cup due to a 2 footed tackle.

I don't believe Kalou's challenge had anything to do with the injury, got a feeling the injury occured during initial save.
Could be wrong though

Could be wrong though ============================================= I think you are right. That was certainly my first impression and watching the first replay seemed to confirm that..however, I have had a few and I stand to be corrected.

Would have helped if the interviewer had asked him about it rather than telling him how brilliant he is
