Super Glenny Whelan - by far the better player. Keeps possesion better. Makes better passes. Better shots on target. But SJE is better leader of a team!!

Don't think he is better in every department. John is harder and I think more determined, may be on top in tussles.

Glenn Whelan is a far superior passer and super cool on the bar.
SJE Good but not same class, will try and rough Glenn up though.
Time for cool heads

Glenn Whelan has been a breath of fresh air , Eustace was dead wood, but he seems to be doing a decent job.
There are A LOT of players like Eustace in the championship at the moment, players such as Ashbee from Hull are clones of him, hard workers, commited, top lads, leaders of the team, but not much ability or legs.
I actually think Whelan IS just as determined as eustace, if not more, he actually has the legs to take him there....
All that shit about Eustace doing the "job of two with decrap"...
Once he goes , Delap plays out of his skin...
Funny eh....

I think now Whelan has more to his game. Maybe because of injury Eusty has become more of a defensive midfielder. But John Eustace is a great competitor and communicator, and will give a typically committed , wholehearted disply for Watford.
Wonder if he'll have a special crunching tackle for his old "mate" Ricardo. No love lost there!

You can bet on it. Probably something similar to that tackle he made at Newcastle. It could get quite ugly out there.

I like Whelen A LOT, but memories are short and SJE was by far our best player before his injury.

Think Whelan should have the better, Eustace better tackler i think but Whelan better vision and keeps the ball better and looks fitter too

Before injury SJE was the best midfielder outside the prem but unfortunately will never regain that little bit extra he used to have, not knocking the guy I'd love to have seen SJE and whelan in midfield.
