Catch a train from watford junction to watford high street station then the ground is ten mins down the road. How many tickets were left do you know I need to go as a guest or get a ticket via someone else and try to blag my way in. All going pear shaped.

It's a 20 min walk tops from Watford Junction to the Ground. Takes about 5-10 mins to get to the High Street with pubs etc. thena further 10 min walk to the ground from there. Nice pit stop for a few sherberts!

That's if you happen to be crawling there. If you are getting atrain to Watford Junction it's really not worth waiting for another train to Watford High Street, you could be in the pub before one turns up. Just head straight out of Watford junction straight up the road ahead and 5 mins you will be on the high street.

Used to live in Watford 4 nights a week and nabbed meself a bird that I brought back to stoke. Know the place pretty well.
Trains to Watford High Street aren't that often but if there's one there then they're ok. Take you right to the bottom end of town but are near the ground.
The ground is really easy to walk to from the station. Go out the doors and turn left. Go to the end of the road (avaoiding the rough-arse pubs), under the subway and carry on to the end. You're then outside maccyD's with a bloody great hornet on a stick outside it. Time: about 10 mins.
Follow the crowds but generally it's straight on past MacD's.
If you want beers first then as has been said before, go straight ahead from the station and you're in the high street. Loads of pubs there but dunno which are 'away-friendly'.
