The Premier League Is About To Get A Lot Worse I really, really, really hate teams like Stoke and Watford. Please can you fix it for me so that they never grace the Premiership with their particular brand of football. If by horrible chance they do gain promotion, please could you ensure they meet a similar fate to Derby. Stephen Frost football365.com/mailbox/story/0,17033,8744_3289573,00.html wanker

I wonder if many - or indeed ANY - people realise that Arsenal stayed in the old first division,(when there were only 2 divisions and they were still Woolwich Arsenal), because they PAID to stay in it. They were subject to relegation, but palms were greased and they've never been relegated since.
Now, to the subject of the FA Cup being "devalued" because the big four are out. Did any of you realise that Spurs WON the cup in 1901 when they were a NON LEAGUE CLUB?
Too many pompous fans on the Premiership? Damn right!
I can't stand Pulisball, but if he takes us up I'll congratulate him and demand he gets at least a full season to establish us because he will have EARNED it.
Stoke City will have EARNED it.
That's what relegation and promotion are for, the RIGHT to play at a higher level being EARNED or WITHDRAWN by RESULTS, not by snobbish dictatorship which harps back to the feudal system.
Come and debate with me Stephen Frost, one to one, anywhere you name, on the issue of being rewarded for your efforts.
Otherwise shut up and disappear back to the middle ages!

I replied to his comment with this letter to the editor. Let's see if he responds.
Dear Mr. Frost, your opinion of my beloved Stoke City aside, may I ask what you think of promotion and relegation as a concept? Do you believe that great effort and endeavour should be rewarded properly? Or do you believe that no one should be allowed to try to improve themselves by measuring their abilities (in whatever field) against those who've proven their worth? Do we need your permission to play premiership football? If so, I must have missed the news that you'd been made arbiter of worthiness. Come and debate with me, any time, any place, the issue of being rewarded for your efforts, or forever return to the dark ages of the feudal system so that we mere serfs can bask in the sunshine that glows when your bloated self worth ceases to block out its rays. I await your reply with interest.
