Without his goals this season we would probably be about 5th or 6th place. Reasons follow:
1. He single-handedly destroyed WBA (again), 2. Sorted the game against Scunthorpe a few weeks ago, 3. Caused the Cardiff defense no end of problems, and that's only in the last few months.
The guy brings so much 'magic' to the team and we all know he can completely change a game within minutes and without him we look lack-lustre up front. Cannot begin to imagine a Stoke team with Sidibe and Parkin as the front 2 - I am fearful at the thought alone!

correct risa. but now needs someone other than sidibe up front with him as a spot on caller to p+g said teams put two men all the time on fuller because you can leave sidibe alone as he creates nowt!! i do believe tho sidibe would be a good sub to bring on

No Tony it's not ridiculous, he takes the plaudits when he’s playing well and scoring and as such he should take the criticism when he’s playing wank. He missed a sitter yesterday and (as in the last few games) tried to walk through the opposition defence when there were far better options. He’s got more and more selfish lately and you can see the frustration in some of his team mates expression when he almost always tries to go for glory alone. Getting the run of the ball is complete bollocks he’s just not playing as well as he can and he’s quite often making the wrong decision when he’s on the ball, this along with him missing some good chances isn’t as you put it “him not getting the run of the ball” – it’s that simple. Gouranga.

Spot on Albert. Fuller is my favourite player but he's been toss for the last few games and deserves the criticism, just as any other player does.

That said, he's passed to Mama more than enough times this season which have resulted in shots hitting the back of the stands to persuade him to take the opportunity himself...

He wasn't toss at QPR and his neat flick on put Cresswell through for the penalty yesterday.

Missed a sitter, though, and gave up the chance to pass to team-mates in better positions on several occassions.
He did have a decent second half at QPR but he still missed a good chance (albeit he did well to even make it) and missed three one-on-ones at Burnley.
It's ridiculous that some fans think he's beyond criticism.

Nobody's beyond criticism in my book, not Fuller, not Pulis, nobody.
But with a player like Fuller you have to take him warts and all. He moans his arse off, sulks like a little kid when things don't go his way and does go through barren spells in front of goal.
But then he comes out with moments of genius that have helped this team get to where it is right now. He's our current version of Steino and we'd be knackered without him.
That's why he should be cut some slack when things don't go his way.

I agree Dave and he'd still be the first name on my teamsheet for Tuesday night.
But I am concerned by his form and I hope TP gives him one of his legendary cuddles to get his head right for our biggest week in years.

Mr Ricardo "can do no wrong" Fuller deserves a little stick right now. He is the only striker being used, hes a good player and has doen good thigns for the team. But, due to Pulis playing Sidibe along side him constantly the pressure to score really seems to have got to him. He tries to do it all himself, doesnt work with Lawrence, wont pass a ball if his life depended on it. He desperately needs a good strike partner to take the pressure of him, when that happens his goals will come back, as will that smile on his face we havent seen in a long time

cant believe the amount of drivel i have read on this messageboard just latley!! yes we are having a bad spell [anyone in football knows that NOBODY wins all their matches] but you cant lose sight of the fact that this has been the best season to be at stoke city for a long long time.i sometimes think these morons would like us to be in the bottom sixtrying to avoid relegation ffs!yes fuller can be frustrating but he can also win matches single handed which is why he is in the team.as for gally yes he is a very good player but dont forget the coaching staff see them every day whereas we see them once a week so who do you think is betterto judge a player?

Truckerged, I'm absolutely over the moon with our overall performance this season and I certainly won't criticise what TP and the players have done on the whole.
But that absolutely does not mean we can't criticise individual performances and the fact is that we have not played well for a few games. Fuller has had a brilliant season overall but he did not play well yesterday and deserves the criticism just as much as he deserves the praise when he's played well.
