For me i thought he was very sound calm on the ball, sometimes too calm.
didnt lose a header all game and didnt hoof the ball every time he got it. Looks like a good quality signing.
your thoughts..........

Looked a decent player, not the leader I was hoping for (Someone like Higginbotham) but is early days yet.

OK debut kept Akkie quiet thought he'd be more of a talker/shouter--good signing

Thought he did very well considering it was his first game for Stoke today, hopefully he will get even better in the next few games and after he has settled in should become more of a leader.

His heading reminds me of Taggart. he can head it miles. Very good game, I though.

Had a good game. But too early to tell. As Burnley were content to sit back most of the game.

He didn't shine, but was a level above several others.

MUST be me I thought he was way too defensive, at times had time to turn but slowed down and then made a back pass to the keeper, did ok though.

Was impressed today with Riggot, didnt particulary look as if he hadn't played competitive football for a while. Won pretty much everything that came to him in the air.

Looked good, apart from the goal, where he was too hesitant, he should've gone straight through the player instead of backing off.... But he has only joined, and so overall it was a good performance from him.

This is bucking the trend I know but I must say I thought he put Nash in danger a few times with strange back-passes, and some of his distribution to the midfield were really high chips which only worked 50% of the time.
Agree with posts above about his heading, marvellous.

I thought he looked calm on the ball, he will eb a good signing. I think a break will do Shawcross good too.

Fingers - is it being negative to speak the truth?
We're second in a very poor division. A decent manager would have more than Plan A and would also possibly have us clear at the top with the squad we have.
I want the very best for my team, which I supported almost 50 years. Pulis isn't it! He almost cost us the game today with his stubborn refusal to play Gallaher

He looked decent to me. I think he'll be just what we need for the run in.
With regards it being a poor division, i dont think its particularly poor, its just very competitive - theres not a million miles between any team.
Pulis is a decent enough manager, he has his flaws of course but hes got us second - hes had funds but only similar to what alot of others have had available and hes generally spent it wisely.
We are all disappointed by the last few results but its hardly a time to be negative. With 9 games left, we have a very realistic chance of being automatically promoted to the top flight.
