It’s a really vital game tomorrow, yes of course every game is vital from now till May but we need to get three points tomorrow, it doesn’t matter how we get them. I don’t care if it’s a goal that flies in off Mamma’s rear as he attempts a three point turn in the car park.
The last few weeks have just about summed up being A Stoke supporter, we have had the highs of being top of the league where we became so carried away with thoughts of the Premiership that we forgot the season wasn’t actually over yet.
The last week has taught us all that we now have a fight on our hands and that nothing will come easy in the last 10 games. Tomorrow will be no exception, on paper it’s tow sides who have fallen into a trough in the last few games. It sounds as though Burnley have a defence as error prone as ours, it could be another one of those fingers to the quick games like Scunthorpe and Southampton. I am sure it may provide a few more heart stopping moments, if the trend of the last month continues we’ll all be wearing pace makers by the time the season ends.
It will look like a remake of cocoon, as the white haired throngs of the Brit faithful I hope Coates is well protected, get yourself BUPA Peter because the national health service in and around North Staffs is going to be snowed under if we have more heart stoppers like of late.
So tomorrow I don’t care how we win, if it’s the most tedious game of the season we need three points desperately, anything less tomorrow could see us really struggling to finish in the top four considering the next two away games. A win tomorrow and we can go into them with a little confidence restored a clean sheet would be even better, the defence might begin to work together and maybe we’ll be right back in those automatic places again.
We need a large crowd again tomorrow, the players need us now more than ever, they will be at a low ebb and being that twelfth man can restore so much belief in them, that we as supporters are right with them and believe in them. So a 23,000 plus attendance, heart medication for those who need it, a good insurance life cover plan and three points.
Come on you mighty Potters.

Ted, there's no doubt about it, Burnley are a more than useful outfit and worse, totally inconsistent, sometimes looking even better than Brazil and at other times worse than dogdirt. So don't really know what to expect tomorrow except a really tough game, which is precisely what we always get from Burnley, whether at the Vic or the Brit. On the flipside, I thought, despite the close looking scoreline, we gave one of our best home performances in the last home game against Ipswich with even the defence looking reasonably assured. If we can stop their most dangerous forward, Robbie Blake from performing tomorrow, I believe we'll come through unscathed, bum clenching nonetheless!! Prediction: - Stoke 2-0 Burnley.

Personally I'm unsettled at BFC's good record at the Brit. And yes they are desperately inconsistent. Their last match was a bit of a horror show and they should have been at least 3-4 down at half time so we'll see. I feel much more comfortable playing them at the Turf than at the Brit. But if Fuller's on his form tomorrow, they've apparently got a defence that has redefined the word slow! Let's hope its like Paul Williams 5 minutes after eating a whole suckling pig!

But let's face it. Never underestimate our ability to shoot our own toes off by accident, but even I'm staying positive! The day it becomes easy is the day to find another team to support. Stoke have consistently made me a nervous wreck for my 35 years so why should we breeze it now? ;D
