The Vic's sound sytem was 10 times worse than the Britt's....
All you ever heard was.....BING , BONG...visiting supporters , visiting supporters...the rest vital information on how our 'guests' could return home in one piece was lost , else drowned out by the abuse , jeers and laughter that followed.

Yes, used to laugh at that myself, all of them years of visiting supporters running the gauntlet back to their cars....

I remember the announcement in 95 at the Newcastle game....Visiting Supporters..Visiting Supporters, you are advised to remain in the ground after the game until the police instruct you for YOUR OWN SAFETY.
The drunken hard geordie twats of course laughed their heads off at that!

Changing the subject anyone remember the small stage that was erected in front of the Stoke End in the mid-80's, where various crappy artists belted out half-time "entertainment"? I seem to remember a woman with the biggest boufant hairstyle imaginable being a regular. WTF was all that about?

Had a season ticket in the Stoke End that year as they made it for home fans and put the away supporters in the Butler.
I remember 2 fellas singing when we played Villa pre game and you couldn't hear a thing with the noise.
I remember when Bolton drew 1-1 which resulted in them missing automatic promotion to Boro 'Will Bolton Wanders supporters please vacate the stadium- if not...........well up to you' to much amusement ;D
