If you've got Lawrenson, why not Lineker and Hansen as well?

I think Dickinson has earned a slot in the team, he deserves to start IMO.

all I know is that, Id have Gallagher playing, Pugh in midfield and Dicko at left back - and Delap to return too
not absolutely sure of the formation but Cresswell, Djao and Sidibe at the very least would be 'rested'

I'd leave Diao out completely and keep Parkin on the bench, but I'd definitely get rid of Cort or Shawcross for Riggott. Think it'd be tempting fate to pitch Nash straight in - remember Hoult for Simo against Plymouth ??

Shawcross will get his break after his next booking, anyway i am not sure why you think Cort is better than Shawcross, Cort has been poor since he joined us

Hmm interesting choices, but I cannot see how Tone will drop both Simmo and Sidibe. Just ain't gonna happen.
My team:
Simmo
Griff (c) Shawcross Riggott Dickinson
Lawrence Delap Pugh Gally
Fuller Cressy
Subs:
Nash Cort Diao Beast Mama
Now, Tone's probable select XI..
Simmo
Griff (c) Cort Shawcross Wilkinson
Lawrence Delap Pugh Cressy
Fuller Mama
Subs:
Nash Riggott Salif Beast Gally
p.s. Vince to get 7 cups of tea in at the break and one Steak and Kidney for Beast.
GOARRRNNNN YOU MIGHTY POTTERS!!!

Cort has been poor?
see Dyson P or Tweed S for poor.
Parkin shouldnt be in the squad after turning up late for the reserves. Diao on the banch should be fine.

32 goals conceded in the 23 games since the Cort-Shawcross axis was created (2nd most behind Scunthorpe)
Something's clearly going very wrong, not solely down to the centre-halves, but hours of training ground work hasn't corrected it.
Shawcross is starting to look jaded, but Cort's looked wobbly since he arrived. I wouldn't argue whichever one Pulis left out if he considered Riggott fit for tomorrow.
Nash
Wilkinson Shawcross Riggott Griffin
Lawrence Pugh Delap Gallagher
Cresswell Fuller
Subs: Simonsen Cort Dickinson Diao Sidibe

I reckon this will be the team... Nash Griffin Cort Shawcross Pugh Lawrence Diao Delap Gallagher Sidibe Fuller Subs: Simmo Buxton Cresswell Wilkinson Pericard I really can't see Parkin playing a part after his late show for the reserves and I don't think Riggott will be ready yet.

simmo Riggott Cort Shawcross Griffin(c)
Lawrence Pugh Delap Gallagher
Nugent Fuler
Subs:Nash,Wilkinson,Diao,Sidie,Cresswell
Cant see cresswell missing out though. just think that riggott can play at right back and i still think that shawcross and cort are better than the other options and a great threat in their box.Gallagher should have his chance at home. THE NUGENT THING IS JUST FUN NO DOUBT SIDIBE WILL BE THERE AND BEAST ON THE BENCH. MAYBE A DIFFERENT STORY FOR NORWICH THO, OR SO IM TOLD.

Riggott is a left-sided centre half - at a push I suppose he could play left back, but no way right back.
He really should, if fit, replace one of the two centre halves. As Grapey says, something is not right at the back given the number of goals we, as a top team, are conceding. Pulis must see this in bringing in Nash and Riggott, so he could well play both.

totally agree mate that something is wrong, i think it has alot to do with us playing very attacking football, for stoke anyway and we are being exploited at the back. why we are conceding off set pieces i dont know. my observations have been that we are too deep on their free kicks and we are leeting the ball come to far into our box. im sure riggott has played there before but sliding him in at left is no probs as griff can go right back. Really sorry everyone i know shawcross and cort aint playing to well but wilko and dicko arent the answer just yet, they are still learning and it would be a very tough lesson if we miss out.

I'd be surprised in Nash didn't start after Pulis' praise in the Sentinel. If he'd just been 'smashing', Simo might have had a chance. But 'smashing AND commanding'; it's Gnasher all the way. Pulis, who takes charge of his 650th game as a league manager tomorrow, will make a late choice between Steve Simonsen and newcomer Carlo Nash in goal, while fellow loan signing Chris Riggott is hoping for the nod ahead of either Ryan Shawcross or Leon Cort in central defence.
"Carlo has looked smashing and commanding in training," he said, "and has the experience of two play-off finals.
"Chris has played a lot in the Premiership and is also a good talker. He's a good age for a defender and, if fit, can be a massive asset for us."
The 27-year-old Middlesbrough defender hasn't played since early November, but insists he should be available tomorrow after a hard week's training at the Britannia.
Midfielder Rory Delap returns from a one-match ban to replace the suspended Glenn Whelan in the one change Pulis is certain to make tomorrow.
Stoke are banking on another 20,000 crowd after introducing a cut-price ticket offer for their final five home games of the season.
"I want our supporters to give us the best chance," added Pulis. "If we get 20,000 in it's a different atmosphere and a different prospect for the opposition. No place rocks like this place when we get 20,000 in."
