Stoke City FC 2 (2) - Burnley 0 (0) The Brit Att: 19897 The ref: Bicycle Mattiason from Neptune. Linesmen: Brad Gospelwink from Dragspell and Victor Clementino from Busher-under the green apple tree-Wilnick Stoke City line up: Simonsen Buxton-Shawcross-Cort-Wilkinson Lawrence-Philips-Pugh-Cresswell Sidibe-Fuller Subs: Nash, Wedderburn, Gallagher, Dickinson, Pericard Burnley line up: Kiraly Carlisle-Varga-Caldwell-Alexander Gudjonsson-O'Connor-O'Connor-McCann Akinbiyi-Blake Subs: Duff, Harley, Randall, Berisha, Jensen The Game: Well, Griffin, Diao and Whelan were not in the team for this match, not even on the bench, since we all know they were so bad vs QPR. Sidibe was tremendous and got the chance again upfront with Fuller. Burnley made some changes and have had some problems with their game recently. Stoke dominated the game immidiately, Fuller hit the bar in the 4th minute. The pitch was invaded by ducks at one point, but Fuller made it 1-0 in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute Burnley got a penalty, but no card to Shawcross. However, Akinbiyi put it wide. In the 26th minute Akinbiyi faced the grass from close range and got another penalty. Neither the ref nor the linesmen saw what really happened, but a penalty it was. He put it wide again, and some of the crowd began thinking Akinbiyi was Noel-Williams in disguise after all... In the 33rd minute Cresswell took a corner and found Cort, and he headed in 2-0 to the Potters. Big celebration both on and off the pitch. In the 42nd minute Burnley got another penalty, but no card show, cause the ref wasn't completely sure of what happened. This time McCann put it over the bar. In stoppage time first Lawrence hit the far post and then Burnley got their fourth penalty of the game and Shawcross his first yellow card. O'Connor #1 didn't make it, Simonsen was in his way. 2-0 to the Potters at half time and ball possession 68 - 32 (in %). In the beginning of the 2nd half Burnley had some pressure. It was obvious they wanted a quick reply. The closest they got early on was when Varga hit the bar from long range after a McCann corner in the 63rd minute. Pugh got his first yellow card in the 65th minute when Gudjonsson fell over his ass. But O'Connnor #2 placed the ball just wide. Two Burnley players got yellow cards just after that, since they were refering to some crazy rule in a pink childhood scrap book saying when a team get five penalties during a game they automatically gets a goal from the referee. In the 84th minute Sidibe was close getting a goal, but noone really thought about it seriously. Instead in the 86th minute Burnley got their 6th penalty of the game, but Simonsen made a fantastic save and it was their best effort. Close Blake, only close. In the 89th minute Blake got his first and only yellow card as well, when the Linesmen Victor Clementino from Busher-under the green apple tree-Wilnick was offended. He'd got a small stone or something in his left shoe, and when he was on his knee to get it away Blake stepped forward and showed him a fruit. The result meant Stoke went 2nd in the Championship. MoM: Sidibe Rate: 4.5 / out of 5 The Stats: The Game: Shots on/off target: 7/4 - 3/12 Corners: 10 - 4 Crosses: 14 - 12 Yellow cards: 2 - 3 Red cards: 0 - 0 Penalties: 0 - 6 Ball possession: 55 - 45 (in %) Throw ins: 32 - 48 Off sides: 13 - 3 Crowd stats: Played Headphones at a local theatre: 11 - 0 Has a sister who wears a raincoat 4 days a week: 22 - 7 Believe direct qualification is possible for their team: 14552 - 301 ice cream//:musik

It comes to something when it says things like "The ref: Bicycle Mattiason from Neptune." and "Victor Clementino from Busher-under the green apple tree-Wilnick" in the initial post yet the thing someone finds most unbelievable is Phillips in the starting line-up!!!! ;D

Nice one, musik What really worries me is you're now ahead of me in the Prediction League. And I was trying I wonder, if you are the best predictor at the end of season in that Prediction League among the Stokies, do You win £1000 then or a season ticket card? Do You have to be best in the whole country to win the prize, £1000?? Anyway, it's fun to compete and Iäm at position number 3 at the moment. After the game vs Burnley on Saturday I can go top! But we are a bunch that can go top! I think I finished at position number 136 or something like that last season. So to be in the top is fantastic. Good luck, mermaidsal! //:musik
