Academy Under 10s ;D
A bosting result given the thumping that they gave us at home and the quality of their facilities/lads.
Well done lads!

At Keele, the under 11's produced an even more "bosting result" ;D in beating their Rovers counterparts 3 :2
Our lads were worthy winners in a game played in a howling gale that swept straight down the pitch. This meant that both the defensive side of their game was tested when playing into the wind as well as their ability to exploit when the wind was at their backs. In both areas they had the edge on Rovers.
Thats a draw and a win against a side they lost heavily to last year.
Other age groups at home faired less well. Under 9's lost 4 : 2 Under 13's lost 4 : 2 as well Under 15's lost 2 : 0

Under 14s won 2-1 I think Mark.
Must admit I thought that our unbeaten run would end this morning given the way that they overran us at Keele.
Forest at home next week which, as you will recall, are the only other team to give us a thumping this season.

Hi Bob,
Who played in goal for you today? I understand that Sam had to miss through injury.
All the Blackburn teams are useful and as you no doubt saw from their facilities, they spend plenty on their Academy teams. We have certainly made up for the two thumpings they gave us last season. I don't think they lose too often as their captain was in tears at the end.
We are due to be with you next week so lets hope we can reverse that Forest thumping.

A very tall left footed lad who plays for the under twelves I think Mark.
My lad told me after that his breath smelt of beer.
Both goalkeepers were superb today once again. The quality is excellent. Their goalkeeper pulled off an unbelievable save near the end, a shot that just going to nestle into the top left hand corner.
It was very cold there as well but warmed up as the sun came out. It was snowing like mad on Friday night apparently.
Have to say that their facilities are second to none. A beatiful setting.

Sounds like it was Ben Chapman (David is going by the physical description, not basing it on the breath ;D).
Its ever likely he looked tall as he is actually in the Under 13's age group but has been playing regularly with the Under 12's as they have not got a keeper since theirs was released at Christmas.
I understand Sam (who was due to be playing for you today) has damaged his ankle so I am not sure how they will move the keepers around next week. I might see you, might not.
Their facilities are brilliant aren't they. I would say they are the best I have seen along with Liverpool.
You can imagine what it was like at Ice Station Keele today!

I saw a cracking good player playing for Brewood last week and have recommended him to the club scouts. Superb centre-half.
Sorry I couldn't make it up yesterday Mark - sounds like I missed a cracker of a game!

No problem mate. You missed a good game and a damn good gale force wind that would have tested your new lightweight frame. I hope you have been selective in the scout you have chosen to forward your information to. We wouldn't want him ending up at the wrong club over tea and biscuits, would we!!
