My email address must be similar to one at the club and I had an email this morning that was sent to me instead of someone at the club.
I replied back and here were my answers:
1. First of all, do you think Stoke can promote to the Premier league, and why?
Yes because we can
2. Whats the magic number of points you think we need to be promoted? We discuss 82 – 84p
I was thinking more of 50-55p and then we could have a whip round for the rest
3. If Stoke get ' s promoted, which of today's players do you think Tony Pulis will get rid off?
All of them, except Buxton and Broomes as they are the only true Premier League quality we have in the side
4. What type of players do we need to stay up?
Football players, although we could recruit basketball players for there height if needs be
5. Stoke bought many players in the transfer window. What do you meen about that?
I would have said that the answer is in the question
6. Who do you think is the best Stoke player at the moment?
Like I said earlier it's a toss up between Buxton and Broomes with Pericard not far behind
7. Chairman Peter Coates have bought back Britannia Stadium. Do you think that is positive for the club?
Definitely, now we have a large asset to borrow against and somewhere I can stay if the missus kicks me out
8. You have supported Stoke for a long time. If you should pick one , who is your favourite player trough all times?
Very good question that. I would have to go for a striker. I like Sambegou Bangoura for his transparency, it is like he isn't there. He is as honest, punctual and modest a guy as you could ever meet. Although I would have to say Dave Bamber for his workrate and eye for goal that only a top, top striker can have.
9. Tony Pulis has done a lot for the club. Do you think Tony Pulis can bring as much to the club as Tony Waddington did in the 1970`s?
I don't think anyone can bring as much to the club as Waddington, he is in a different league altogether. He brought dysentry, pleuracy and pneumonia. Tony has only ever managed a bad head cold and mild tonsillitis. He did mess the carpet in the reception area with some dog muck he trod in which Waddo never managed though.
10. Please give us your thoughts about the things who happens these days. We think there are more footy talk these days over there
There are a lot of things that happen these days to many people, that is part of life. There is a lot of footy talk these days over here and there is a genuine buzz about the area. The thing is that if people are daft enough to delude themselves that we are going to make the Premier League then let them. It's more people to pour through the turnstiles. Although there is another overhead, Stoke did have to double the amount of people who clean the stadium after the match to two, to take into account the extra litter. Stoke are also considering employing a third to clean the remnants of meat and potato pies from the area of the pitch where corners are taken from where they have been lobbed at opposition players. Stoke did also have to have the central heating on an extra hour so it all adds up.
We are thinking of coming over to the last match this year. 10-15 people have said they want to go. So we just have to see how many who actually will take the trip
I am pleased that you can take the time to come over, I have a spare bedroom in my dorma bungalow that 1 of you could use. I also have quite a big shed in the back garden. I'm sure I could take the motorbike out of there that I have been building for the last 10 years from old Irn-Bru cans and put some newspaper and sawdust down for the rest of you.
