This would certainly freshen up the national game and leave the officials to concentrate on more important issues like serious foul play, bad language, and unsporting behaviour... If you don't like this idea ...well let's get back to the old offside rule as no bugger can understand the present one...It's far too ambiguous and open to argument and interpretation... In short a bloody nightmare..! ??? A shambles.

Jesus Christ....try analysing all that lot in 3 seconds and still have time to blow your whistle..! Alan Shearer and Alan Hansen are forever arguing over such off side decisons..to name but two..!

No just move the offside line up so teams can only play an offside game deep in their own territory , say the last 3rd of the pitch

Agree with Miffmister, go back to the old rule if you are in an offside position when the ball is played you are given offside whether you are interfering with play or not.
