Great! Now can we have some additional fairness. How about cancelling his next is yellow card, in lieu of his restraint in not throttling the ref, on Sunday.

There was only one way that decision was going and it was the right one.

Does the suspension get transferred to that incompetent buffoon D'Urso instead? How about suspending him so he can't pick up match fees these next three weeks?

Did D'Urso get his way in believing that it was still worthy of a caution?.
Hope not because there is no way that Griffin even warranted a yellow card either.

Grffin Wins Appeal Posted on: Tue 04 Mar 2008 Andy Griffin has rightly escaped a potential three match suspension after the FA overturned the defenders red card.
At a Regulatory Commission hearing this afternoon, the Potters argued Griffin's case with the backing off 'R's midfielder Hogan Ephraim and referee Andy D'Urso, who yesterday revealed he had made the wrong decision.
The former Newcastle star, who was sent off in the first half of the Potters 3-0 defeat against QPR for serious foul play, could have missed out on City's clashes against Burnley, Norwich and Watford.
Article continues Advertisement However he is now free to play a part in the crucial run in as City push for a place in the Premier League.

4PM UPDATE: GRIFF THANKS REF D'URSO Be the first reader to comment on this story
15:37 - 04 March 2008
Andy Griffin has publicly thanked referee Andy D'Urso after hearing that Sunday's red card has been kicked out on appeal.
Griffin now escapes the three-match ban hanging over him after D'Urso dismissed him in the 43rd minute of Sunday's 3-0 defeat at QPR.
"I'm over the moon that I can play those three games now," said Griffin this afternoon.
"I always knew in my heart of hearts that it was a fair and honest challenge.
"There is pressure on not only players and managers, but also referees, and sometimes they do get it wrong.
"I just want to thank Andy D'Urso for being man enough to look at it again and admit he got it wrong on this occasion.
"I'm a bit old fashioned in the way I play football and the way I tackle, but I'd also like to think I'm fair and honest.
"I would never try to seriously hurt someone and would be distraught if I ever broke anyone's leg."
Griffin admitted players needed protection from bad challenges, but insisted referees also had to get the balance right.
He explained: "All you ask for is a little bit of common sense and then the game will be OK."
