I would just like to say that whatever happens from here on in this has been an uplifting season to remember. We always look back on memorable seasons but this surely will be remembered as our golden era or the one that might have been!
I just want us to put things in perspective. And personally to share my despair due to only recently moving to Oz. If there is one thing to make me regret my decision of moving away it is Stoke going against a lifetime of expectations and actually looking good. I so wish I was back there now with you guys and feeling the ups and downs personally at the grounds. Being so far away it feels like a watered down version of the emotions that you can only get being at the games.
Basically I am extremely envious of you guys going through this season and so wish I could be there. Come what may this is already a great season I wish I could have been a closer part of.

It will only be a "great season" if we get promoted.
If we don't it will be yet another crushing disappointment and wasted opportunity.

matt, nice sentiments and agree that there is little worse than being far away from home when the lads are playing and, good though it is, listening to the match commentary on the internet - sheer purgatory.
Have to disagree with the part about it being 'an uplifting season to remember'. As Archiesdad dad say's we've achieved nothing at all and maybe it's a symptom of the low levels of expectation that sometimes surrounds Stoke City that being near the top with a quarter of the season to go is viewed as some kind of success. To be honest, although results have been good obviously, it hasn't been a season that I'll remember for the quality of the football on the pitch, so the one and only way that I'll look back on this season with fond affection is if we do actually make it into the promised land.
