Steve Bruce is ready to allow Wigan Athletic defender Andreas Granqvist to head out on loan.
The Swede has made 16 appearances for the Latics this season, but has not featured in the first team for two months.
He has been linked with a temporary move to Stoke City and Bruce admits he is prepared to loan out Granqvist.
"We've had a couple of enquiries about Andreas, and now I've brought in Erik Hagen, we're in a position to let him go out," Bruce told the Wigan Evening Post.
"He has a big future here, but a bit of experience of playing somewhere else can only benefit him."
Stoke have signed Chris Riggott on loan from Middlesbrough, but could look to set up a deal for a second Wigan player.
Carlo Nash has already agreed to move to the Britannia Stadium and Granqvist could be offered the chance to join the goalkeeper in the Potteries

If he aint a leader then i really see no point in this possible signing.
