Anyone ever done it?
How do I go about getting in the disabled section and is there any car parking I'll be entitled to nearer the entrance?
I know I'm not disabled and don't really deserve any special treatment but I don't think I'll be able to do my normal routine: Parking near the Victoria Ground site and walking up.
Any advice?

Did it at the old ground, i sat up in the old Main stand, no problems at all. I also went to watch England away in Germany with my leg in plaster (not the best idea looking back).
I would contact the club to ask for a North car park pass and to switch your seat to the Lower John Smiths.

i went after i had surgery to rebuild me knee, 9 days after the 3 hour operation and sat in a seat on the aisle, got in the ground very early and stayed till last most times, it was a little hairy getting in with a crowd as no-one gives a fuck if your on crutches
i was told i could only park in the diasbled spaces if i had an orange or blue badge, never asked if i could sit in the disabled section but they arnt over subscribed so shouldnt be a problem

Yes. Broke my left ankle in February 2004 (was my fault - fell down the stairs). My daughter, then 9, was mascot for the 2nd March game against Ipswish (we won), with seats in the Family Stand even though we then both had Season Tickets for the Boothen.
Getting there, we got a taxi - probably, since we had to get there early with her being a mascot, a bit easier than usual.
Had to get the bus back to 'Castle, then taxi home - her mother, (my ex) kindly decided that she couldn't squeeze me in together with daughter, older daughter + mate.
Minus 3 that evening, and nearly got frostbite in my toes.
Worth it all just to see my daughter as mascot, plus we won.

had my ankle screwed together last season. i was in plaster over 3months and never left my seat empty on a matchday. op on the wednesday brit on the saturday.
drove to the south car park, showed the stewards my plastered leg (the rest of me was sober ;D) and they let me on the disabled parking bay. hobbled to my seat in the ground , back row of family stand no problems.
apologies to anybody who had to wait behind me while going up or down the steps.
