Maybe withe the glut of defenders we have we should be going away with five at the back.
a couple of draws at preston and Qpr could have been massive come the final points total.

The answer was on the pitch against Ipswich. Dickinson in at left back. He was superb in that game and is a far better, more aggressive and stronger full back than Pughy.

5 @ the back is in principle a sound option given the personel we have but TP has ALWAYS played two banks of four so forget it

Agree with aragorn, play dicko we look much stronger at the back with him. I would also push Pugh into centre midd while Whelan serves his ban, and drop Creswell to the bench and play Gally on the left.

Not sure if an extra defender will make much difference. Its not the quantity that brings us unstuck its the quality. Sometimes yesterday we had five men behind the ball but nobody defending.

After our recent defensive displays, maybe 10 at the back would be more appropriate! No, definitely not, too late in the season to start experimenting with a system none of the players will fully understand. Pre-season is the right time for these sorts of things, not with just a handful of games to play.
