Well, what can you say that hasn't already been said?
Nothing new really, but I need to exorcise yesterday from my system as I'm beginning to take on the emotional and behavioural traits of the fella from Fever Pitch. My very being is being dictated by the fortunes of my football team.
Pull three back against Scunny, drive home 170 miles singing and I'm a great husband and father for the weekend. Witness that debacle at QPR yesterday and I've barely said a word to anyone since. Not good...
Lawrence and Cresswell looked completely shot yesterday and this exposed our full backs to a hungry, young QPR attack. I could go on but you've seen it all for yourselves.
I am disappointed at the amount of hoofing we did first half, much to the delight of the general tv audience, no doubt. QPR shut us down all over the pitch and we just cannot deal with it when teams pressure the ball like that.
We have been sussed out and TP needs to make some brave decisions if we're to get back on track. We all know the best eleven. Does he? Or, more to the point, will he accept that one or two of his favourites just ain't working?
No matter we're 'still 2nd' and 'he got us here, didn't he', I'd say our season depends on it...

I think that the pressure has got to a couple of them emotionally and that they need a rest to re-charge. Shawcross has had an amazing season. Came here on loan expecting to get a bit of first team experience and becomes a fans favourite and our most expensive signing whilst also having to continually live up to his early-set reputation. He needs a couple of matches off. That's what I hoped Riggot was here for. Lawrence has been fantastic but again all that effort comes with a price. Again, bit of a rest. Maybe on the bench? Ric, probably worried about a suspension but also looks rejuvinated when you put another player on the pitch who can 'play'....Gally, who inturn, must be itching to impress and gain a bit of 'hero' status. Dicko and Wilko and Pugh....'nuff said as thay say I believe we've got the quality, I'd like Nugent of course though I just think Tone needs to take a slightly psychological approach to avoid burn-out...mark my words, it'll help things

ruts, i was like a bear with a sore head yesterday. Having had a good nights kip though, I aren't actually THAT gutted by yesterdays result. Yes, a comprehensive beating, but considering... 1. Hit the bar when the ball defies gravity and stops in mid-air 2. Good first goal and sometimes you just have to accept these. 3. Pishpoor defending for their 2nd. Something we know we need to sort. 4. Crap sending off decision. 5. Fuller then hits the post. It's not going to be our day. 6. Good improvement in 2nd half albeit hampered by 10-men. 7. Offside for their 3rd. 8. Wedged someome in-between a good penalty shout for Stoke. On paper it's a disastrous result, but it could have been WAY different. Pulis now needs to have the balls to ring the changes this week. GRIFFIN - over to left back WILKO - in at Right Back CORT - out, he's shite RIGGOTT - in for Cort CRESSWELL - up top with Fuller SIDIBE - needs benching GALLACHER - on the left - a breath of fresh air yesterday DIAO - needs benching DELAP - centre mid with Whelan PUGH - needs benching as no place in the 'best' 11 And we now still need 22 points I reckon, which means we can really only afford one more defeat perhaps....unless we can beat Brizzle and Watford that is.

Good summary cornedbeeflegs.
Having seen the Telly slow-mo replays, I dont think it could have been a Peno for us, but all in all it could almost have been 2-2 or even 2-1 to Stoke.
Like that Lucozade sport advert shows.... at this level the distance between winning and losing is a mere couple of centimetres!!
Still believing!!!!!

yep, i think the hysteria off the back of this and Preston defeats was a bit much. It's a very narrow margin.
If the crossbar effort had gone in, the game would have been totally different. Ditto the sending off, if we'd have had 11 men on the field firing like we did for a while, we may have pulled our way back in to it.
Take nothing away from QPR they looked decent and full of energy.
Has Pulis got the balls to ring the changes or is he too stubborn. Surely he can see where the problems lie?

wow cornedbeeflegs!!...you have a career in bullshit PR ahead of you. We were shocking and got taught a lesson in football which exposed out limitations for all to see... A defense which will always concede Slow ponderous fullbacks No Delap no long throws means little pressure on opposition Fuller and Lawrence our only bits of quality if one has a bad day like Lawrence yesterday we look very ordinary

cousin
i don't get carried away either way. I don't think we're world beaters when we beat Scunthorpe nor shite if we lose at QPR. We were under par yesterday, that was their best performance of the season. Shit happens.
I'm not hiding behind the facts, I have listed the areas that I think need a change. You can't get away from the fact that at 1-0 up, if the first chance had gone in, the game would have played out differently, ditto the red card, Fuller hitting the post, their offside 3rd, etc.
To slate the whole performance as a shocker is a bit strong.
