Well Well Well, Lewis Buxton played really well today, how come hes been languishing in the reserves for so long ? breath of fresh air. in fact, when was the last time he made the bench? I hope we see more of him. he looked confident and fit. On another note, TP should really be playing Dickinson, he's been a revelation so far this season.

Seemed to be linking up well with Gallagher didn't he?

Perhaps he has realised he can actually play since his buddy Little Ant went to Bristol Rovers and couldn't have a word with TP for him?

Both Buxton and Gallagher looked razor sharp and hungry for the ball, good players who's time for a run in the first team must have arrived

Buxton has been rubbish for three years, but played quite well for 20 minutes today.
If people are now touting him as some kind of answer to our defensive problems then it really is time to give up.

Personally I think it's encouraging to see fringe players keen to impress. Competition for places is nothing but a good thing if well managed. I'm certainly not implying that Buxton should now play every game, but he's possibly earning himself the possibility of being at least an option?

To be fair to Lewis he came in to the team and has had criticism from day one. He had a shitty injury and has taken many a set back along the way. I personally think he has ability just has has a lot of things stacked against him along the way. Good luck Lewis on your return.

I don't think Buxton is as bad as people make out. He had a good game today. Bad for three years? I remember him having a good game alongside Higgy at centre back in the 1-0 victory at Ipswich last season. I think that was his one & only game last year due to injury.

Yeah alright then, the 20 minutes that he played OK in today clearly outweigh the entire season he spent spazzing around at right back in 2005/06. Get a grip for fucks sake

I've said this on numerous occasions that Buxton has received an appalling amount of stick when the fact is as a centre back he is actually decent enough.
The biggest monkey on his back was he was forced to play out of position for a most of a season by Boschump. I am quite sure any player who recieved the amount of stick he did in that season will take a while to get there form back! Since returning from his long injury lay off from reading the reserves reports his form has been consistant and score a few goal to boot.
He can't do much else other than make his stake for place in the squad since rightly or wrongly Cort and Shawcross have been probably the first names on the team list most of this season. I think it about time that Pulis changed this fact.

Thought we looked far steadier when he came on
'clearly outweigh the entire season he spent spazzing around at right back in 2005/06.'
