With the talk about our defence and midfield, lets not forget that we now only have 1o games left and Ric is one yellow of a suspension.
I thought he was the only player to come out of today with any credit and a massive concern for me is without Riccy, just where is the 'threat' up front ?
We missed Rory's long throws today as that seems to be our other main goal threat and we will now miss Whelan who was perhaps our second best player 2nd half

I wonder whether the impending suspension is ruining his game some what at the moment. He seems to have been a bit off and hasn't scored now for a couple, i wonder if it's playing on his mind that he could be out with suspension soon. Maybe he could do it so that it coincides with a couple of "easier" games, and therefore he can play on until the yellow card wipeout date free from the worry that he won't be suspended.

Considering it was just him on his own versus their defence for the entire 2nd half, I think he turned in a very committed un-Fuller-like performance and worked his bollocks off, and managed a couple of moments of magic.
Unless we get someone of the calibre of Nugent in pretty soon, I do fear for us in those 2 games where he isn't available, when you add that to all the other glitches in the team at the moment.

Fuller was fantastic in the 2nd half yesterday. He worked hard in what was a thankless task. I couldn't think of another player I would want to lead the line on his own as he creates things literally from nothing.
If he gets suspended and we're left with a Sidebe-Parkin strike force we are quite frankly fooked.........

We havent yet tried out Gally up front without Ric on, so that might work but it is true without Fuller we do look weak in this dept.

Got to agree with Prestwich and Fullermagic on this one. Even on his tod against a good passing team his pace and close control seemed to really unnerve their defence yesterday, as if they couldn't understand a lone striker in a ten man team could play like that. For me that was his finest non scoring/assising performance- an epitome of how to shit up the back line and as Fullermagic said it really was most unlike him- it was an Akinbiyi work rate but with Ric's skill. I thought he was tremendous and it may have been a different tale if that QPR player had got his booking/dismissal from that cunt D'Urso for a clear tackle on Fuller from behind!

Gally started up front with Mama against Wolves away so I would imagine that if/when Fuller is banned then TP would do the same .

He did and didn't do brilliantly because Gally is the sort to come deep to get the ball and not play off the last man's shoulder as Riccy does so well

I thought Fuller had a thankless task trying to take on the QPR defence on his own all second half.
He still managed to give them far more trouble than any other striker in this division would have done under the same circumstances.
Agree with you Soviet - D'Arso didn't even speak to the QPR player after he'd brought Fuller down from behind....and 20 seconds later his equally incompetent linesman allows Agyemang an assist from a yard offside.
