munichapple people have their reasons for not going. What do you want a medal? We're all Stoke fans whether we go to the game, watch on the telly, listen to the radio or just wait till we hear the result........

So long as them people don't get prefferential treatment (or equal treatment) when it comes to the real crunch match which COULD be at Colchester!
And frankly even though we are all Stoke fans I hope the more commited ones are looked after on the big days! And that means the TV boys NOT getting tickets til the fans that go 'come what may' get theirs

agreed Trebor, only been a few away games , with whats happened personally , and being out the country for 2 months , so don't expect I'll get a ticket to colchester , and would expect nothing less than the club to offer them to those that have clocked up the most away games first

Well done to those who did go - you drowned out the silent cockneys on TV and were a real credit.

Some of their fans were giving it the big one outside after but fair play to all the fellow stokies that were there today especially when we were 3 down because we still got behind the lads.

Fair play to all those that travelled, just sick of sanctimonious fans coming on telling people they should be at the game......

Thats the difference between supporting your club or just being a fan....go and support or be a fan and just sit at home im not actualy shaw how many of us went but we had first four rows empty of top tier( until we all moved down into them) last year we were 7th/8th trying to get to play offs and wanted more tickets???? this time second we could have had buy one get five seats free!!!

munichapple, I didn't go today but went to Palace and Charlton in midweek and will be going to Norwich a week on Tuesday. Does that make me more or less eligible for a Colchester ticket than someone who went today?
If fans decided to stay at home and watch it on telly today I'm sure they had their reasons. Get of your high horse........

technically a supporter does something to support the club, so spending ANY amount of money on that club, or doing something for that club is supporting it. I am so sick an tired of other people commenting on people going, not going to the matches. I simply cant afford to go to hardly any matches, if i make 3 matches a year its a minor miracle. Id give my right arm for a ticket, but with what bills i have to pay just to survive means i can very rarely go. Yeah, a ticket may be £20+, but when you have to park, drive, and pay for 2 people to go, it turns out to be a bit more expensive. I listen to every match on the web, watch whenever we are on tv and go as often as i can, putting what spare money i do have aside for tickets!!!

Munichapple - you're contradicting yourself, possible without realising it, but more likely because you didn't think your opening gambit through properly.
I can't afford to go to away games, it's that simple.
If I could afford it, there would be many I couldn't go to in midweek simply because I have a 5am start some days.
I also have a wife and a mother, neither of whom would be overjoyed that I'd decided to spend such an important day away from them - a match day decided by a TV company I don't subscribe to. My wife also has an elderly mother who cannot get to us, so I have to drive to pick her up as my wife doesn't drive.
None of this makes me a saint, and I'm damn certain my reasons can be repeated thousands of times over by fans of all teams throughout the land.
Neither does my non-attendance make me less of a fan than you.
Now grow up.

if someone is a christian, or whatever religion they choose to be, and cant attend church or whatever place of worship does that not make then a 'true' christian/other??? it pisses me off when people have a go saying that people that dont go to away games/home games are not real fans of the club, or are part time supporters, it is a sheer fact that people cannot afford/logistically get to a game. i myself do not go to many games, but i listen to as many as i can on the radio or internet and live, kick, see (metaphorically), feel every ball, sing every song as tho i was there, i plan my week around 90 minutes sitting next to my laptop/radio. if i cud get there, i would. would you have a go at a disabled person in a club for not dancing????

So i do a 310 mile round trip to home games, and that makes me a second best fan, i have just as much right to an important ticket game as u or anyone else, even though i cant attend them all.
