I am happy with a draw, Better than nothing, and it was a tough game.

Its a great result, i was expecting a defeat...sounds like we could have won it though with a bit of luck. Palace looks tough next week mind, they've just spanked Sheff Utd at home.

I was willing to settle for a point from somewhere we usually get nowt!
Well battled Stoke. Its still a bit annoying though after being in the lead.
Close game though

I agree that one point is better than nothing, but if we are to make the playoffs, we need to win the games against the teams competing against us for the 4 spots.
Next week we need to win or settle for mid table security! (Which is still way better than any of us expected at the begining of December!!) ;D

Have to agree with markscfc72 there, if we can draw the away games and win at home i will be happy.
Gerry want to come back to stoke thats why he scored that own goal. Maybe Adams will be phoning TP now and saying i will take £50k for him ;D ;D

great result there, especially with Eustace, Akinbiyi and Johnson all suspended, while John Halls (one of the best players on the day) is currently playing through the pain barrier. Millwall have a decent looking home record, while we never seem to ever get anything from the New Den (seems the Oakwell curse has passed down to South London) Very happy with a point, and well done to Clarkey too, I was critical of him at the start of the season, but he's really hit a good spell of form in the last month or so. Credit where it's due...

Just to agree with all the posts above.
A point at Millwall is a really excellent result.
Another at Palace next week would also represent another good point gained.
Once we get to 50+ points, then I'll stop looking down the table and relax !!

Another good point at Milwall.
Picking points up away from home from teams above us is a good way of moving forward.

I was thinking before the game that a point would be a good result, maybe it's a measure of how far we have come, that we could have had all three. If we measure our progress by comparing the same game last season, when we performed badly & got stuffed 3-1. Then in Tone's words we are pushing on!

Poynton
I am the same. At the moment I am still cheering when I hear that Wimbledon, Bradford, Forest, Derby or Watford have lost!
We dont take anything for granted at Stoke or mouth off about how great we are...unlike the fans of a nothing club on the same points as us eh?

Today's performance wiped any fears of relegation from my mind. We were competitive, adventrous going forward, well organised at the back, and thoroughly merited our point. All three wouldn't have been undeserved. Once again, Clarkey silenced his critics with a superb performance, capped by a wonderful goal. Darel Russel was excellent in midfield, Sebastien Svard showed up very well, only blotting his copybook with an error that led to Milwall's goal and Paul Williams put in another fine display alongside the impressive Wayne Thomas. MOM though goes to John Halls, who showed maturity and composure beyond his years. He bounced back from a pretty ropey performance last week, and his display is even more laudable when you consider that he hasn't trained for a fortnight. Excellent point from The Potters. Let's hope we can carry our good run on at Palace next week...

I came out of the Millwall game with the biggest smile imaginable plastered all over my face. I genuinely thought our run would finally come to an end but the team proved me completely wrong. A draw is a good result but we really were the best team on the day and a victory would not have been undeserved. No complaints though - you can't win every game and the performance was more important than the result for me. We were without key players again (including the loss of Taggart) and we were up against a full-strength, in-form Millwall side. We still looked the better of the two teams on the pitch though and only allowed the win to slip from our grasp because of a bad lapse in midfield by Svard (he'll learn from it though!) We've still got some bitchingly difficult games ahead but the character and ability of the side in this match fills me with nothing but confidence. Regardless of the fact that our run has to end sooner or later we are a club that is competing in this division and I just can't wait for the games to roll along! Well done to the team today... all of them! Smudge

Another great thing at the moment is that with the ballsaching threat of relegation receding every week we can enjoy a good game. Saturdays game sounded like a right entertaining ding dong. Of course we all prefer to win but it was a really enjoyable game to listen to.

Dave,
The reason the guy was unmarked is that the Stoke defence were stitched up by Svard's dreadful ball in midfield. Other than that they defended reasonably well.
I too would like to see Gerry back but I don't think he could possibly have done anything about Millwal's goal yesterday.
Cheers,
Smudge

Smudge, I said after the game it was a good point.
deep down though I know with a 1st choice 11, we would have won it, we had enough chances.
