Yes we played poor today, yes we're failing to keep our original spark and we're simply not performing as well as we could. Why? Perhaps the pressure is getting to the players, though we're simply missing that final ingredient as to where players should be played. For example, here's what I'd do with the current Stoke team: Simonsen. Griffin, Riggott, Shawcross, Dickinson. Lawrence, Delap, Whelan, Gallagher. Fuller, Cresswell. Oh, no Sidibe? Well yes actually, because I think that he's a waste of space - he doesn't score a sufficient amount of goals. As a forward he doesn't score enough goals, in my eyes, regardless of assists, to warrant a place in the squad. I think that he has potential to play slightly behind two forwards as a supporting role, but that isn't going to happen. I'd shove Gallagher out on the wing (and many supporters here seem to think that he was promising today) and play Cresswell with Fuller. He's played there earlier this season and prove successful, and I think that he would be very effective there. This isn't a moan-and-groan get-Pulis-out rant, it's just my take on what I think should be done. The defense is leaking goals all over the shop and, no matter how good Shawcross is, there is no leader in that back four. Riggott on the other hand is, and was on the verge of getting into the England squad at one point (as was a certain Ryan Shawcross). And, please, no flaming. I want to keep this board as positive as possible while expressing my personal views. Thanks. (And before anyone says I couldn't go the game today because I went to visit my brother in Cambridge.)

without sidibe we cannot play our football style, we aint good enough to open teams up along the floor, dispite him not being prolific and sometimes having a poor touch, we would not win a header in the final third all game if we played creswell with fuller up front. Fuller doesn't want to be flicking the ball on, neither does creswell so i don't know why people slate sidibie when he is a vital link in our team, without him we play shit.

So why not adapt our play? Ball to feet, use the midfield to create chances?

If we can't find a forward to hold the ball up and win headers as well as chipping in with a few goals, we may as well all pack in and go home. One goal is an absolute joke of a return from a Championship striker playing regularly. Sidibe is a league one player at best and all this crap of we can't play without him is complete shit. We have enough fooballers in our ranks to open up any defence, if we play the ball on the floor. Someone should show Sidibe a video of Bertie Biggins, now there was a proper centre forward.

how many chances did we create when he had gone off? how many times did we test there keeper? Whelan's long range effort? we are not good enough to play football along the floor for 90mins at a good pace and do it accuratly and open teams up

Lawrence, Whelan, Delap, Gally and Pugh are not good enough to play football on the floor, you're taking the piss surely?

So you're saying that Sidibe dominates our play? If so, that's a sorry sate of affairs.
