Firstly once again today we have had a dreadful refeering performance, and not going to blame the defeat solely on him, but the point is when your competeing against refeering home and away of that quality, it doesn't exactly help your chances.
Andy D'Urso has been a premiership ref for years, and too see him send griffin off for that challenge, really makes you see what the standard of refeereing has become.
I know it's a tough job for them, but people forget they are paid to do this job, and if they produce decisions of that magnitude, ultimately ruling out any chance of a comeback, why should they be paid?
On too our performance now.....well to be quite honest we didn't turn up, the set-pieces which we rely on from lawrence, were poor, and any throwing in a good position wasn't affective without delap's long-throw.
Fuller played excellent and tried to make the best outcome out of a lost cause, but without any of his team-mates performing well, he was working with scraps, and our only real chances aside from the deflection onto the bar in the first-half all came from fuller's grafting.
I think to be honest, our defence has been shaky to say the least for a while now, and it is has gone un-noticed by alot of people due to the fact we are scoring more goals than we concede, but that isn't going to last forever, we play defensively like we did today, and hope/assume we score more.
We were stood far to far of there player's for long spells in the game, and the frist goal granted was a good strike, but why didn't whelan close him down quicker?
I'm feeling really disappointed as i imagine many are at the moment, but just too try and be positive, putting things in perspective:
We are 2nd in the League The two defeats were against to very strong home sides, we have the right manager, and the a good enough squad to achieve promotion, and without a doubt the support from the fans, we can still do this.
