God what has happened to him. You can see why Liverpool supporters said he was the worse player they ever signed. It isn't just that he isn't fit. He doesn't look interested. Shouldn't play again this season. Is a total liability.

I can't even relate 2008 Salif to the old one, God knows what's happened but it's like he's totally lost his football brain.

Agree guys. With Delap, Whelan and Pugh to choose from we have no need to got down the Diao route for the rest of the season.
He didn't play for about eight months and we took a gamble. Time to admit that he isn't up to it at the moment and do the sensible thing.

Give him time, he can't be scape-goated for this weeks drubbing.
Think about it, would he be starting today if Delap wasn't suspended?

For me he's been thereason we've given up two goal starts on three out of last four games. Would actaully better off without him. He leaves a massive gap he isyards off the pace

How much longer can we afford to give him? He does still look a hell of a long way off the pace.
Whelan's out for 2 games, but I'm sure Pulis must be having massive doubts about Diao figuring in his absence.
Surely he'll go for Pugh and Delap in the next 2?

Diao needs a pre-season behind him so yes hopefully he'll move Pugh in to the middle. Dicko hasn't let us down once this season and is passion personified.

Agree th05...
He seems jaded at the pace. Simply not at the races...but with a preseason behind him he will be right.
Pugh, Whelan and Delap to pick from for centremid and play Dicko suits me

this is not the time of the season to be giving players the opportunity to find their fitness, we can't affford that luxury.
every game is going to be a cup final from now on
we need players who are 100% and up for the fight

True.
I'd hope that was the last time we saw Diao this season, unless we have an emergency.
I'm sure he's a top pro and a good bloke etc etc etc, but this is not the time to play a bloke with no pre-season behind him who has largely been a liability in every game he's played this season.
