Largely disappointing, I know but could have been worse and at least with no wins for Burnley,, Plymouth and Hull (with a game in hand) it almost assures us of a play-off place. Please don't suggest that I'm being negative and lacking ambition. I want us up automatically as much as anyone but some are being too presumptious and need to be more realistic. I've realised that Brizzle have won 14 of their 17 winning matches by one goal, usually 1-0. How come they don't get the panning we'd get for being boring?

But we would all settle for this position at the start of the season and we have as good a chance as any of going up automatic

I'm just hoping it's Brizzle's turn to get vertigo, with their GD and points so tight they still feel like the weakest team in the top 6 to me. I know they've had a fantastic season and fair play to them but I honestly can't understand how they've kept it up this long. Mind you I was saying that a couple of months ago too...

But Monica you are being negative. It is in our own hands to go up automatically. It is in our own hands to go up as champions - when we beat Bristol on the 19th April.
Preston was a debacle but only in the finishing department and in Ryan giving two silly free kicks. We could have won that game 7-3 and should have won it 5-2 so we did not suddenly become crap - we just had a day when we could have had an hours extra time and would not have scored.
6 Games ago we were hoping for the playoffs - now we are in pole for the auto spot and we are the form team. I will take 15 points from the next 18 again happily. I am actually unhappy that Hull are not three points closer to us - i think you can figure out why.

Well perhaps they are not boring and don't play the long ball game. I can't really say I've not seen them play that often. There's probably an element of the underdog about it as well as they only just come up from (what I'd call) Division Three.
And Pulis has had a reputation in the game for playing a certain style. He's had that reputation for a long time and he won't easily shake it off, not even with three 4-2 3-2 3-2 games in a week.

Bloody hell its early days for a prediction like that,if we do nothing I think we are assured of a play off place. We also have Bristol and Watford to play, both games 6 pointers,we shall do it. I would just like to see him bring a decent striker in next week.
