don't know if there are any Stoke bars but there are shed loads of English type pubs. Lloret is a fun place to go though definitley not the prettiest town on the Costa Brava.

When I went there were loads of bars advertising Sky Sports so you should be alright. Make sure you visit Tossa de Mar (next town up the coast) while your there- superb scenary and the beach is nicer too

Malbowski, Next weekend I am going over to watch St Helens RLFC play Catalan Dragons in Perpignan. As this is our fourth trip over there, to see this fixture, we're having a change this time and instead of staying in Perpignan, we're staying in Lloret for 4 days and travelling to/from Perpignan on the day of the game. So after the 17th March, I'll be able to post a latest picture on Stoke Bars (or not) in Lloret for you. Watch this space.

I went to Perpignan about 6 years ago and went to Lloret for the day cause Lloret was the first place I ever flew abroad some 30 years ago. Youll have a great time mate and I can tell you its spotless. If you get chance, drive the coast road in to France. Scenery is great

Went to Lloret for a night out last year whilst on holiday in nearby blanes. Its pretty lairy, like a mainland magaluf. Didn't see any stoke bars in Lloret but there were plenty of english bars there. We went mid may, was just thinking that end of april might be a week or so early season. Might not be busy.
tossa is a nice place, stoney beach though, same as all that coast. Check Blanes out as well, a nice fishing village with a few nice bars

We aren't driving. We go to Perpignan by coach from Lloret. I'm just hoping that at least some places in Lloret are actually "open" this early in the year. The current weather over there doesn't look too promising either. Our last trip was August last year and it was great weather then, so fingers crossed.

Is the Red Lion pub opposite the Hotel Olympic still there??? Its kind of at the back end of Lloret, or used to be in the early 90's.

You're in luck. There's an English style pub called "The Stoke" owned by a couple from Bentilee. It's decked in Stoke City memorabilia, and serves oatcakes and Titanic Ale.
