Me thinks he will rest Shawcross when Cort is fit especially after his post match comments the other night.

Ryan and Leon are right footers. Riggott is left footed and TP likes a left-right combo. After Leon's injury and Ryan's inevitable suspension, they will have to fight to partner Riggott I think.
I reckon he may just go with Cort and Riggott and rest young Ryan when all fit and available, as it has been a big season for him and he is looking a bit jaded.

Yeah. It could well be Riggott + one of the others when he's available.

I wouldn't rest shawcross entirely, he;s been our best defender this season, but at the same time Cort has been instrumental since arrival.
Tricky decision for Tp

Agree shawcross is our best defender but did look knackered in our last few games and Riggott is an ideal player to call on with bags of experience.

put him in at left back, he will win headers, get tackles in still. And i think that is where he will ultimately end up.
Pugh is erratic to say the least, defensivly not good enough...

Instead of Shawcross, made a few mistakes lately - 2 on tuesday. He will play at QPR instead of Cort but in for Ryan after i think. Unless he plays him Right Back with Griff at Left back!!!

Can afford to rest either Ryan or Leon, otherwise loaning Riggott seems pointless .Taking into account Leon injury, he would be my favourie to be rested. I suppose another way of looking at it would be to accept that having signed Riggott short term, and having Ryan and Leon contracted for two years plus, we can use Riggott as much as possible providing he's fit and good enough. Leon and Ryan won't be too unsettled if that happens I would hope, and if Riggott does the job, and if we can sign him for the Premiership (HOPEFULLY), we'll have three class defenders on the books.

He is a centre back, so that is where he should play FFS
and since he is the best centre back in the squad (from what i have seen) he should go straight in
i've always thought you play your best players and in their best positions, we have too many square pegs in round holes as it is.
if we need a left back we should get a left back on loan.

Remember he has just returned from a long injury himself so may not be match fit. I think he will be introduced over a couple of games perhaps coming on at half time. If Cort isnt fit for QPR he may just have to play.
