Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has been formally charged by the FA for using abusive and/or insulting words at Stoke last weekend.
The Town boss was sent to the stands by match referee Mick Jones following a discussion about the use of the multi-ball system and will find out his punishment after the closing date for an appeal on March 13.
Magilton was handed a two-match touchline ban for a similar offence last season at Preston and has insisted he has no intention of appealing against the charge.
He told the club's official website: "I won't be appealing over the decision, there is no point.
"I'll have to take my punishment and get on with it but there will be managers up and down the country that would have behaved in the same way I did.
"We don't have a multi-ball at our club because we don't needed it. In short, I'd like to see the multi-ball system banned."
Stoke could also face punishment after a can and a bottle was thrown at Magilton as he was leaving the touchline.
Ha! Serves him right. Good job Boother didn't have his brick with him !
