JIM Magilton will take whatever the FA throw at him on the chin after being formerly charged for swearing at referee Mick Jones at Stoke last weekend. The Blues boss was livid at the way the multi-ball system was being abused at the Britannia Stadium and ticked off by the Cheshire official after returning a ball quickly as a ball-boy took his time. Jones sent Magilton to the stands after words were exchanged and now faces a touchline ban. Magilton said: “I won't be appealing over the decision, there is no point. “I will have to take my punishment and get on with it but there will be managers up and down the country that would have behaved the way I did.” Stoke City also face punishment after supporters threw a can and a bottle at Magilton as he was leaving the touchline.www.eveningstar.co.uk/content/eveningstar/sport/story.aspx?brand=ESTOnline&category=SportITFC&tBrand=ESTOnline&tCategory=sport&itemid=IPED29%20Feb%202008%2013%3A35%3A11%3A503

Ithink the punishment will just eb a couple of grand fine.
At the end of the day, how can Stoke do anything baout 1 dickhead out or 23,000 throws a bottle towards an opposition manager

Or perhaps it's time for supporters to point out the idiots who want to besmirch the name of our club like this. In other words - the both we and the club can do plenty.

Saw the can land on the turf and thought, 'what a moron'. What did he hope to achieve? Magilton was already being sent anyway. And he wasn't even directing any abuse at the crowd.
As for the ball system, he's not the first manager to have problems with it and even Pulis has admitted there's an issue. So for me, he has a right to complain.

< (that's the embarrassed looking one).
Fair do's fella, my unreserved apologies and a korma (no naan) for your trouble.
I didn't see yours but it just shows how different people read the same article and arrive at a different outcome - you; that Stoke might be in the dock, me; that magilton is a plonker.
Either way Utto2 is right, if anyone knows who it was, he should be cashed in.
Not a good ad for our club.

Agreed mate. I have actually written an article in today's Sentinel regarding the plonkers around (Magilton, Jones and Meldrew) so I had already voiced my opinions on that slant of things
