As we come up against him on Sunday, I thought I would let you know a couple of details. I know a few Stokies thought we should have a go for him... He is on £10, 000 a week PLUS a £2,000 goalscoring bonus!! No wonder he's knocking them in for fun! (8 in 8)

Blimey
(I don't want to be uncouth & say "fookin hell!" but "fookin hell!")
That's fair wedge.
I was one of them by the way (but only in a hindsight kind of a way tbh ) his record at preston & his stock with the fans there was, frankly, gash.
But yes, he's been scoring for fun.
Maybe Ryan & Corty (if back) need a bonus to stop him?
Never understood how that works (bonus's for defenders - if they exist).

I think defenders get bonuses for attributing to clean sheets. Midfielders might have assist/goalscoring (Liam must be laughing if he has both in his contract!)

In ten years he has played 295 games and scored 57 goals which is 0.22 goals a game which is on par with Pericards goal to game ratio. In short he's hardly prolific.

So what if Ryan scores and Ricardo blocks a certain goal for a 0 - 1 away win?
Anyone else know how it works ?

You just have to be awkward don't you Well, if thats the scenario, at least the whole team will pick up their win bonus!

Surely you are not suggesting footballers are greedy money grabbing mercenaries? H

Surely goal bonuses are bad, ... if we had them rory would of shot instead of passing to liam on tuesday night ?
bonuses make strikers selfish !!!

true , but surely bonus's compound that, and at the end of the day it is a team game, and 1 strikers isn't going to score all the goals. eventually teammates would surely stop passing to him and vice versa ?
