yeh i agree we should be aloud to go on holidays, but with not many games to go, and stoke needing just a few more players to make the squad push on for a top 2 finnish. Shouldnt people who have a major say in this process be working his ass off to get these players in.

SCFC is a business, decisons can and will be made eeven when the main man is on holiday. Rudge and Pulis can sort it out without the involvement of Scholes.

u2o- when I heard yesterday that Scholes was away, my immediate thought was would we have this saga over the Nash signing if he was here? I would guess not. This Eddie Harrison bloke doesn't quite seem to know what he is doing

To be fair to Scholesey, these past few months he appears to have got his act together. Having spoken to him on a number of occassions, he seems more clued up than he was- both on the footballing side of things and also other areas regarding the football club.
I agree though, a year ago he wasn't up to it

would that be "got his act together" in an:
"now-i'm-fookin-off-on-holiday-when-we-need-to-sign-a-new-goalie-and- other-new-players-on-loan-but-will-leave-steay-Eddie-in-charge-so- it-will-all-be-fine-" kind of a way then?

He hasn't mastered this 'going on holiday at the right time' thing, has he?
There was a similar mess last season when he sodded off to Ireland, wasn't there?

You just hope that part time Tony is on part time money. The amount of holidays he has suggests otherwise.

This bloke (Scholes really does piss me off). You are right in suggesting that things have dramatically improved at the club, in the past weeks and months it's been good news all the way, not the usual bad news or nothing at all.
On the other hand Scholes does always appear to be on holiday (more often that Judith Chalmers.....) and usually at the worst possible time. This week for example when yesterday TP hinted at he didn't know what had gone wrong with the new keeper deal back at head office.
If we have to let Scholes go away on holiday and not be contactable (it's the 2,000's there are mobiles and computers FFS), then either Rudge or Coates or an other must be able to stand in.
It's not rocket science.
