Whilst it seems the injury is not as bad as feared, is it worth patching him up to play or allowing him to recover fully?
I say the latter - Andy Wilkinson is a more than adequate centre half replacement, and what he lacks, by comparison, in inches and aerial prowess, he more than makes up for in having a bit more bite in his tackling.
Added to that is the fact that Ryan Shawcross is only one booking away from a two match ban, so we will need Leon Cort to be fully fit when (it is not if, given the nature of Ryan's position and style of play) Ryan is missing. If Leon plays and aggravates the injury, we could suddenly find ourselves without our two first choice centre halves when travelling to Watford!!

If he's not 100% then in a word - no! However is Wilkinson fully fit? Now people might think I've gone loopy but a certain L.Buxton ain't bad at CB either being his natural position - yes he was utter toss as a full back just like Higginbotham was when he was force to play there. Buxton ain't been doing to bad in the reserves from all accounts.

Tony wouldn't risk him if he couldn't give 100%

I dont really think its worth the risk i think we should rest him and use him in the remaining matchs when he becomes fit.

As it is one of the toughest games we'll have in the remainder of the season, in my opinion, i would play him, however if it comes to the worst, i don't mind falling back on zak or wilko to play at centre half with shawcross.

yeah i heard that aswell, hopefully he'll be fit enough to play on sunday if need be though, although if cort can't play and zak has a knock, it probably is the most viable option to play wilko then, who never let's us down when he plays.

How long does a broken toe keep a player out these days?
I have always rated Zak very highly as a centre half, although not as much as a full-back.
I'd be tempted to drop Cort for Zak if he was fit. Cort's marking has been poor lately and he needs some motivation to improve.
