He's a cocky little twat, I knew as soon as he scored the goal against Prem opposition that he would be angling for a move...

Meant to be going to the toon isn't he?
Not premiership quality if you ask me, he might think differently after scoring against manu though.

Very overated if Newcastle go up next season I think they're going to be lumbered with some pretty mediocre players Beckford, Cort, Caroll.

I hope we are nowhere near this player (and pretty sure we're not)...championship would be his limit at the moment.
He reminds me of Zamora at his age...if memory serves he got a big money move from Brighton to Spurs and ultimately failed, then dropped down a league and has come back a better player.

For all those saying Beckford isn't good enough for the Prem let me remind you of a certain player snatched from Oxford reserves who then went on to create a goalscoring record in the top flight. I bet if we'd had this message board back then these posters would be saying the same crap about him. Just in case you don't know who I'm on about...MARK STEIN ! Nobody knows if Beckford will cut it in the Prem so lets wait and see hey.

You want another example ?
Cast your minds back 18 months, nearly everyone was agreed Wilko was barely good enough for the chamionship,he would never step up to the Prem......it can be done !

don't let us hold you up mumf Beckford for all his ambition and energy IS NOT a premier league striker nor likely to be at the age of 26. I liked the look of him last season, particularly after watching Leeds v Millwall with our very own Dicko in the squad. Cracking little player but only one level off his ceiling if you ask me

beckford is not a mama, mama doesn't score regularly, he wouldn't in league 1 either.
anyone who thinks beckford wouldn't score goals for us if we play how we played the first half last night needs their head testing.
