Personally before the Preston game I thought we might win that one maybe a draw. I always thought QPR we might lose so I am already feeling a little apprehensive about this one. How do you think we will do ???

Sick would be a good word - I'm the opposite, wasn't expecting more than a draw at PNE but we HAVE to get a point at least from QPR, two defeats on the bounce would hurt our confidence too much.

QPR are surpising me ATM, the richest club in the country and have not been able to gel. Next year no team will touch them, this is one of the main reasons why we must go up automatically now, as they take one spot next season for me already

Wouldn't mind that much, it might even kick us into life for the last few games! Better to get a few loses out of the way now than wait till the end of the season. With WBA in the FA Cup, its going to go down to the wire...

Brazil have left my thoughts. Its the play offs for them IMHO. They have bottled it. Theres time for them to bounce back but I don't think they will.

I'm with Joe on this one, happy with a draw, ecstatic with a win and blind drunk and aggressive with a loss

If we lose to QPR?
In a word: devastated.
We _cannot_ throw this away now. Come on Stoke, Stokies and everyone associated with the club. We're in the best position we've been in for 20 odd years, we can't throw this away. I'm not ashamed to say I would be heartbroken.

Complete devastation, followed by anger, followed by sadness, followed by quiet contemplation, followed by lots of hours studying teletext page 325, followed by optimism for the next game, followed by excitement for the next game. That's the general rule.........

Not expecting too much there to be honest. Never get much there, decent side, tricky game. Draw would be a very good result indeed.

I'd have settled for a couple of draws, or one win and one defeat before this week's games, but with the defeat already in the bag, it does put more emphasis on not losing at QPR.
Two defeats would affect morale and probably see us out of the top two.
A defeat would not be terminal to our automatic promotion aspirations, but it would only serve to put even more pressure on the next game to bounce back with a win.

I will feel disappointed, but looking at our remaining fixtures PNE away and QPR are the one's i thought would be potentially the hardest, once over i would have thought we had a great chance of 3 points at QPR but with the strengthening of there squad, and obvious improvement in results, it will be very tough.
However.....i see no reason why we can't win on sunday, but i'll take a point.
If we can get through March in a strong postion that's when i'll really start to believe, i'm sensing the finish line but trying my best to stay on ground level, as i'm sure your all aware we NEVER do things straight-forward.
We have the squad, the potential, the quality, and the belief, it's just about taking it's game at a time, grinding out these scrappy games, and holding our nerve, and having the guts to shove it in the media's face, defy all odds and get promoted.

The QPR game always worries me due to the presence of several gobby QPR fans here at work, who are sharpening their tongues in readiness for payback.......
As Janis Joplin said 'I'd trade all my tomorrows for a point at QPR' or something

Norwich and QPR were the form teams in the league, but in fairness QPR's results have dropped off a bit. Initially I thought we'd get nothing from either of these 2 away fixtures, but now I think we should get at least a point, which would be OK.
My predictions are completely crap however. Thought we'd draw against Ipswich and beat Preston, so what do I know?
If we draw we go to 63 points with 10 games to go. 6 wins and 3 draws would give us 84 pts in May, surely enough for automatic and possibly the league. I reckon this is achievable, so stay calm! Everybody will drop points and it's going to be mighty tense over the next 2 months.
Still don't think we should fear anyone, but we will drop points as everyone scraps and the team changes because of suspensions.

Fuckin distraught - we need to get something out of the game as we play Burnley, Watford and Norwich after and I think all those are tougher games.

i'd be worried about our chances of making automatic promotion,
it would have to go down as a big missed opportunity not going 4 points clear this week, so i feel play offs would be more realistic if we dont get a result
